Well... Queensland beat Melbourne 112-0, great showing by Queensland but ominous signs for the competition... it’s not an actual ‘competition’ if the games aren’t competitive. I hope it doesn’t turn into a two horse race with the rest making up numbers.

I was a little worried about this when it started last year. QLD and NSW have been well ahead of the rest in terms of development. I understand we are trying to mimic the national mens sides with corresponding womens sides but TBH the womens comp would be better mirroring the NRC format. An NRC format would allow more than one team in NSW & QLD & hopefully two teams in each state would dilute the strength of both states so it isnt so highly concentrated in two teams. Not sure we'll see it happen, but its vital we have a womens comp given soccer, league, & AFL have theirs.

QLD are good but I feel NSW are even better. I fear for the Rebels - this is going to be ugly.

WA and the Brumbies will be competitive but a bit behind Qld and NSW.

They have something up an running that it played over a number of weeks and teams get to play home and away. It's a great start.
