wft ref has bottled that one bigtime, he calls release, tackle, Argies continue mauling, nick it, hoof it out, ref thinks fuck me they're all celebrating now, he chickens out and blows fulltime. Shat the bed. Not that the Rebs helped themselves with their shit play once Genia subbed off mind you

Much as I hate to agree with Marto, I think Nic Berry may have got that last call wrong...

I guess people will say Rebs should taken the draw but one extra comp point (draw v losing BP) probably isn't going to make that much difference so good on 'em for rolling the dice & going for the win.
He was keen for fucking beer aye. 84th minute what is that shit he'd be two down already.

Can’t believe the Rebels blew another one, Rebels’ supporters must be starting to understand how it feels to be long time Blues’ supporters.

MAAAAArdo's giddy, ecstatic, myopically feverish cheerleading for his homeboys soon had me switching the commentary to Pitcairnsese. FFS does he even realise that non-Australians might be tuning in? Thankfully karma shot him in the cock once the filthy foreign threat ran down his slightly hapless heroes
You’ll be excited to hear that Kearns returns from ‘Sabbatical’ tonight for a festival of one eyed analysis in the Reds vs Tahs.

Horrible day, horrible game, horrible result. Rebels absolutely leaderless (again) once Genia goes off. The individual decision making is poor and some of the skill execution equally dire. Jags defended really well. Apart from Mafi virtually no go forward from the forwards, static pods, JD goal kicking good, touch kicking average. The final decision beggars belief, which other Super team would have not settled for a draw after such a poor game. DHP, Genia, Mafi, Parling best for the Rebs. I think they are really going to struggle from here on in.
ps thought Nic Berry gave some very poor decisions at the breakdown. On at least two occasions Mafi was penalised when he clearly won the ball .

Brumbies against highlanders showing the rebels what a committed game of rugby is about. Seriously there is a lot is passengers in the rebels side.

Mic Berry was shot, but the Rebels we're worse. Coleman is not the right man to captain the side, he does not seem to know how to work with a ref.

Why was Genia taken off when the game was not secured, we looked dreadful after that.

Didn't watch the game but the big difference between this years team and last years is, as I have said, Hodgo.
You need an on field coach and motivator, DW can't do it.
Coleman is either too young or may be not the right guy for the job?
There must be someone in the team, possibly Mafi judging on last yr? but it certainly isn't Genia, imo he is a front runner and no good when the going gets tough, too much bitching and blaming.

Can we talk about the elephant in the room... 5538 in attendance absolutely disgraceful.

I don’t think you understand how bad the weather was, it was at times raining sideways, with windchill it was under 10degrees and the wind at times was horrific in the morning. For a 3pm kick off against the least attractive side to draw an attendance it’s really not surprising. Give or take the results in SA there will be 12k+ for the crusaders in a months time

Just got home so a few notes on the game.

- Coleman isn’t a captain just yet, he maybe in the future but he seems to have mellowed his aggression with the responsibility which eliminates his edge he had to his game
- Wessels is a good coach but a terrible manager, I’m sure he will get better
- Rebels managed to out dumb the dumbest team in the comp
- Ruru was shit, played a significant role in the loss. He’s a better player than showed tho
- can someone lodge a missing persons report for English????? Hodge dearly missed
- how the Argentine winger wasn’t yellow carded for the tackle in the air is one of the greatest mysteries of the season
- the good.... Hardwick, Parling, Meakes, Mafi

Richmond v Brisbane Lions at 2 pm had a crowd of about 42 ,000. Yes, it was bad conditions in Melbourne.
