Super Rugby: Round 1. Rebels vs Brumbies - 23 Feb AAMI

Big concern for the rebs was their utter lack of penetration in attack, leading to panicked turnovers. Their attack last year, with a less talented lineup, looked sharp which was attributed to Sampson. I hope he hasn't had to take a back seat with Foote excited at the big bodies at his disposal.

That said I thought Canham was good and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) looks keen.

The absolute hubris from a force fan of all people. Tell me what happens when your sugar daddy moves on?

Stop being butt hurt for no reason. It's a question about the crowd and if the rugby support is more regional based because they can't get a good crowd even with the club in danger of being gone! Nothing to do with the force. They had 7k at the game last night which is also poor

Sitting behind the most effective set of pigs in the country - you would hope so
Rebels had more than their fair share of possession from scrums to provide Carter with opportunities. Admittedly, they suffered through being dominated at the lineout, but if the Rebels attack had been better executed, there probably shouldn't have been the difference that occurred.

Noah looked composed and confident and willing to try things. It was a promising performance from him regardless.

really really disappointed with the forwards and lineout. Don’t know what Parling has had them doing. I counted at least 7 missed lineouts across both hookers.

Kemeny is a tall boy, he should be able to get up there and help. Was abysmal. So many missed opportunities. Brumbies have Neville, Frost and Swain I get but Cale was out there picking us off for fun.
Perhaps some influence from Ben Mowen coming into play?

Lolesio looks much better with Lonergan at 9 as opposed to Nic White last year. Helps that his pack was dominant as well. Was impressed by Sapsford as well, he put some players into space with a couple of really good short balls.

It's pretty clear that the front office issues at the Rebels are affecting the players. They never really looked like they were in the game, it was just a bunch of individuals out there, rather than a team. Oh, and Kellaway really needs to learn to pass the ball. It gets frustrating watching the ball die with him for no gain when there's an open player right next to him.
I agree on Kellaway Baron. I think he was turned over by Reimer on three occasions by getting isolated and lost the ball forward in tackles a couple of times too. His running was good, but sometimes a bit too cross field, but his protection of the ball in the tackle/breakdown was very poor.

I don’t how RA address Carter’s kicking but in NZ when Barrett was struggling early in his career with kicking at 50% and off the side of his boot for touch, the AB were doing everything they could be correct his kicking. The question is, do RA have specialist coaches that could help him out?
I’ll do it. Kicking is a simple thing.

Tbf as well mate. It's not just the rebels. Look at Ballymore. Tahs reds derby would normally be a decent show. Crowd was half full if lucky

Anyone catch the official MOTM? Thought it might have been Noah L, but Charlie Cale and Luke Reimer were probably in the mix for it too.
