Super Rugby Rnd 6: Waratahs v Reds

This is what the NBA calls garbage time. All the subs are on for both teams, guys who haven’t played together. The Reds have won. Whatever happens here is meh.

Bollocks it is. Huge opportunity for non 15 players to take a shot at the future. And the 1st 15 who are left to demonstrate leadership.

Important period for the Reds.

The game is a mess. Scoring against this Tahs side is like scoring against a 5th grade park footy team. Nothing to learn here.

It’s a confidence thing, if he was playing for a winning team he’d be killing it

Disagree. Watch where and how he chooses to hit the line.. what players he runs at.. the pace and or vigour he approaches. Can't say I was overly impressed. Agree that there is a confidence element with Maddocks.

Not a surprising result but there were some positive moments from the Tahs, certainly some good individual displays. Ran out of puff. And locks. Add the incomprehensible yellow to that too.

Harrison best for Tahs, followed by Maddocks.

Perese did not look outclassed by Paisami even with a very personal battle. A battle that Paisami won, but Perese stepped up to the standard.

Reds messy.

This Reds team has nothing of the feeling of ascendancy that 2011 did. They are good, very good. But they are not on the pace that they set for themselves. Or that fans are hoping for.

Physicality they were matched.
But I’ll be interested to see the stats on the number of passes and runs though.
