I think I saw somewhere that the Tahs have only played there once and have a 100% success rate, and that it was actually a Rebels home game. The Rebels were pretty much based there in 2020.
Watched a lot of games there 2020 when rebels and force played there as home ground - thought watched tahs games there in 2020. Maybe my memory foggy. I thought tahs played a game there last year but maybe I am mistaken as only went to one tahs game at scg last year where they got hammered by kiwi team (highlanders I think). Certainly been to tahs trial game there in the past…

Tahs polling well here.

4 votes for them is a lot.

I think that graph is my daily tahs optimism graph, the peak being at drua win…and as reality sets in as I am reminded of the mighty reds and the mountain we have to climb this Friday…

in 2020 Leichhardt Oval hosted Force v Brumbies; Force v Rebels; Rebels v Brumbies; Rebels v Waratahs ( Rebels home game).

So it seems it’s been a home ground to the Force and Rebels but never the Tahs.

What a fortress.

:p

Leichardt is no Waratah heartland. From recollection Balmain (Subbies) play around the corner not there. All the same it is a cosy and friendly suburban playing field that takes well to rugby. I think it will do fine as a temporary home for the tahs in 2022.

I understand the disappointment re Brookfield and I'm surprised that there is no SRU ground that is appropriate (politics?) but Leichardt should the fine.

I'm in Armidale this week (University residential) and I'm trying to cut out early to get down for the game. It's looking unlikely.

Swinton seems to have improved his discipline in my view. He's getting better at niggling other players and having them being the player to overreact rather than the other way around.

His risk is still high on the basis that he is likely to tackle in a way that will result in a high shot if it goes wrong.

Damp track coming up. Will even up the contest a little, and make spectating miserable.

Reds by 12 off the strength of their backs. Tahs bench was a little stale last week, and so their finishing is still suspect.

No doubt the Tahs replacement tight head will be a 'new man' one way or another.

He was definitely targeted last week and didn't really react like a lunatic
