Nabuli must be training the house down...

That is very good value against a team who are v. hot and cold.

ASY (Angus Scott-Young) into the XV for Wright..

Anyone else find this a little odd. Presumably one of Timu, Korczyk, Wright were going to make way for Higginbotham next week, so why bring in ASY (Angus Scott-Young) now? I do agree it's been tight between Wright and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) but it feels a little like building ASY (Angus Scott-Young) up to tear him down -- surely you wouldn't keep ASY (Angus Scott-Young) in the XV on the back of 1 game (unless he has an absolute blinder!)? So surely he's going to be dropped next week?

I don't know what do other people think about this move?
I'm obviously happy to see ASY (Angus Scott-Young) getting a run on start but I'm not sure how it fits with our planning for next week.

That reserve scrum is going to be freaking amazing!

And also who's the reserve 9 now?! :p

I find it hard to see how been given an opportunity to start is a bad thing for him.

He may well have been told (and would certainly know anyway) that the skipper will be back next week and he might not be in the 23 so he may as well have a crack at taking the opportunity now.

Next week Higgers will directly replace ASY (Angus Scott-Young), thats where it fits in for next week.

I think ASY (Angus Scott-Young) and Wright offer similar attributes at this point in time, neither have played badly, but neither have had really good performances. I think for young blokes it's good to rotate them, physically and mentally, the Reds have had 2 big draining performances in a row.

McKenzie used rotate his players all the time, even after good performances, perhaps their is a method to the madness.

It's a long season, and Reds players will have to be rotated.
Next week, I predict there will be big changes in the starting side, for no other reason than a number of players are going to be drained (win or lose V Jaguares) after 4 games & travelling 2/3 of the way around the world in consecutive weekends.

Very keen to see Ready play. I think both BPA & Mafi have been very good & Mafi is unlucky to be left out, but I thought Ready looked back to his best I the NRC and was looking a player who could challenge to be a Wallaby (NRC can be deceptive, I know).

Hope he has a belter.

I thought after the trial games and the 10's it was close but Ready should get the nod, it was interesting that Thron said this week that Ready 'has been working hard, waiting for an opportunity.' So perhaps he'll have turned that corner.

He and Latu really should be Wallabies by the end of the year, I don't think you can have Uelese starting, not for the Wallabies.

Weren't we debating in another thread if Benny Lucas was signed as a Halfback? Without Bjorn, I noticed Moses hasn't been moved to the 23, but Ben has been drafted in.

I really don't remember...:p
I do recall saying the only way I see him getting into the 23 is if he is the backup halfback.

I think Lucas was signed as a utility back. Not as a specialist half.

Good to see Scott Young get a run on spot, EVEN if it is only until Higgers returns. Gives the kid
some confidence and also reward for working hard.

We really need 10 or 12 forwards who are capable of starting. Injuries will happen

The Reds have got this if they remain patient. The Jags will burn out trying to contain our scrum and tackle our big bodies.

Reds need to settle a bit. Kerevi, CFS and timu all causing problems for the jaguares, just need to stop letting them off with silly mistakes

Not sure why this ref is so hesitant to penalise the Jaguares scrums when they've been popped twice.

Scrums are a funny thing, you could penalise either team by the letter of the law so far.. but I think the Reds scrum is demonstrating itself to be dominant and the ref will rule accordingly if the game continues like that

Nabuli just hasn’t improved. when Perese is back he is dropped
This tour really has to be his last chance, with him leaving at the end of the year there's not much point carrying him on the bench once perese is back
