That would be the first time Waratahs have taken a Shute Shield Team into consideration/planning?

Tongue in cheek.....

Pure speculation on my part but it makes sense (or made sense before the game was postponed) if you were planning on making unforced changes to give more players opportunity.

I'm a bit confused by this. Tahs have the most successful lineout in the comp so far according to the Super Rugby website.

The Drua captain and coach gave him 3 and 1 player of the year points respectively (not sure who gave which score though).
I am sure Porecki had two red zone lineout misses and two red zone mauls that he had control of the ball that were eventually turned over (had an opportunity to leave a maul earlier but didnt). I'll need to review the game again

Yes… Tahs $1.28 favourites. Not a betting man although the Force side looks good. Should be a close one in my books.

Tahs $1.28, Force $3.50. Tell 'em they're dreaming! I know the bookies set the odds based on who the punters think will win, I don't blame them. But the punters putting money on the Tahs to those odds haven't watched either Tah's game live. To date they have not inspired $1.28 confidence. The Force, on the other hand gave the Brumbies a touch-up, beat Moana at the end and lost narrowly to the Reds.

For the Tahs this is a real banana-peel game especially as the weather is expected to be very wet. The Tahs are the very definition of a dry-weather team.

That team probably as good as it could be, although Reilly probably unlucky to miss a starting spot. After watching the trials I thought Ropati might have been a good shout to join O'Donnell in the centres with both Foketi and JAS out.
Amatosero needs some time to have a good hard think on his game. Massive human, but not running hard into contact, silly penalties and some other stupid rubbish, he needs to decide whther he actually wants to be a professional rugby player. Grant is tall but lacks weight, but works hard and is strong in the lineouts. Creighten well worth a go at 10.
Lambert on the bench at LHP hopefully will strengthen that replacement front row, they got belted last week. Disappointed to see Wilson miss the bench scrum half spot, Grant is solid and won't let you down, but Wilson has some real attacking X factor that we need to develop.

Can't help but negatively think they don't give 2 shits about Rugby at the betting shops so it's done on name by an intern for Super Rugby. If it doesn't come in by at least a $1 before kick off Force fans are missing out on free money.

If Grant can just take the lineouts with Sinclair that's enough for me right now. I think Miles can be alright through the season but needs a reality check. The bench has sized up for this one with Adamson out even though I like his energy I think it's good to blood some of the young big bodies. Force have plenty of big fit humans.

Am I the only one to be a bit worried about how Porecki seems to get stunned in contact quite often. I was convinced he got a Cat1 (NRL term) head knock in round 1 and was let play and I can't help but think he's a bit off from it. He is getting back to playing after more than a year so probably looking too much into it.

The force looks the much more cohesive unit, their pigs are grinding, have a solid, annoying set piece and they have wingers who will work all day with a 9/10 combo putting them in good positions

But they are letting in a load of tries, but I expect them to be too complete

The only thing that holds me back from tipping them is they are the Force. Failure is baked into the walls. Don't get me wrong the Tahs have had a lean decade but the Force have been so consistently disappointing when it matters that I'm wary of putting my hard earned behind them.

Early signs would suggest this year is different, but I've been fooled before.

Porecki gets concussed often too. Bit of a concern.

True Barbarian. But they are playing the Tahs! NSW hardly scream success from the rooftops!

Brings good energy. Heaven was playing some good footy last year and theres Dobbins in the squad. Likely to see some rotation if other positions are anything to go by.

Porecki hasn't been poor and he brings experience to the pack but he just seems a little off which isn't surprising given the injury and time away. It took AA the best part of 6 months to look like half the player people expect following his time away.

I thought Porecki was excellent in Round 1. Did a load of work and was put through the grinder. Looked well beaten up after that game and Id imagine was relieved to have a round 2 break.

Round 3 both Porecki and Vailanu had errors and they did occur at crucial times. Lineout mistakes, maul errors. Dropped pass in open play. Scrum was outstanding in first half and was a mess with Amatosero off the filed following his brain snap. Thankfully they didnt matter in the end. Lot of Rugby to be played this year, I would imagine Heaven and Dobbins will get their opportunities in the weeks ahead. No doubt frustrating for them in the interim. At least the Tahs have a fit squad and "team rehab" appears small.
