Really good handling from both teams considering its the first game. Very impressed with the game management from the Smiths and Sopoaga for the Clan.

Bob Loudon (25)
Interesting that Jackson gave Sopoaga the hurry up there on the conversion. Wonder if Bernard "95 second conversion" Foley will be picked up when he returns.

Canes eventually quell Jags but not before the Argies break out the wendyball ref remonstration shit.

Sanchez might be the most sumptuous kicker in world rugby but he can take that diveball "not the face!, not the face!" hollywood nonsense back to fuckin' Barcelona.

Lol could be cool up top of that, but sitting on upper tier in front few rows were best rugby viewing seats I have ever had!! You were 5 metres from sideline looking directly down, like watching a game on a chess board.

^^^^^^^ yes but anywhere from 6 or 7 rows back & you could only see 3/4 of the field. And you never ever EVER wanted to sit at the front of the bottom tier, at best you'd get a beer or bourbon/ rum & Coke shower............

Tim Bond has been suspended for FOUR WEEKS. Gotta assume they added at least one for him having already been suspended (for a week) this season. Seems incredibly harsh otherwise.

Touring white South African side bring own white South African referee.

--Super Rugby News--

Further to South Africa being gifted 2 piss-easy conference playoff byes, this weekend's visiting white South African side have brought their own white South African referee to ensure proper penalisation of the largely brown Blues.

Still following? Please do not adjust your sets. Film at 11.

Melanie Nanai out of the 23 altogether after he kicked arse last week? wft

starting to think messrs Moala, Ofa and Akira Ioane are in the doghouse.

re; Ioane maybe Tana thinks his conditioning won't go 80? Or since he's fucking off for the 7's Tana doesnt want to disrupt his lineup? Which changes every week anyway so thats out

re; Moala, maybe too lost on D to play centre? Has to be worth a look on the wing, Tevita Li has hardly earned tenure there.

re: Ofa, when Sam Prattley is keeping you on the bench it is time to seriously start considering alternative career options

Im starting to think that Tana has a KPI: "no more than four wins or we will sack your ass"

Nanai was about 9 times better at fb than Visinia has ever been.

re: Ofa, when Sam Prattley is keeping you on the bench it is time to seriously start considering alternative career options

The only possible reason for Prattley starting over Ofa, especially considering Ofa's fantastic performances in the first few rounds, is that there is no back-up tight head prop in the squad and that Ofa is being kept for that role.

Otherwise its inexplicable.
