Super Rugby Au Round 8 - Force vs Reds @ Cbus Stadium, 7:05pm Friday 21st August

Gold Coast is not likely to feel like a home game for the Force who face a Reds team who were running hard in Round 7.

Reds need to front up not relax, after that effort, but the task seems daunting for the Force who must surely pull a win soon.

Bring it on.

Will be interesting to see if Petaia goes to 13 for Paisami or if it's Flook like it was against the Rebels. At this stage I think I'd prefer Flook to come in so we don't see Campbell shifted to the wing.

Flook could play wing

From what I've seen Flook is a primarily an outside centre. Whereas Petaia's comfortable in playing both positions.
Flook is a bit like Stewart in style and tackling ability, I think they could form a pretty handy defensive mid-field.

Jack Hardy off the bench hopefully, im keen to see him back on the field after his knee injury.

Stewart and Flook are not strong hard running centres. We need at least one, with Petaia at 13 as an attacking player or we will stuck in our 22 like last week when Paisami went off.
Good option but the coaches seem set on JOC (James O'Connor) at flyhalf.
9 McDermott
10 Stewart
11 Filipo
12 JOC (James O'Connor)
13 Petaia
14 Hardy
15 Campbell

21 Scotty (maybe a good time to bring in Sorovi)
22 Hegarty
23 Flook

Stewart and Flook are definitely hard running centres, what they aren't is big bodied or overly creative. But wings like Daugunu and Petaia, I think that works just fine though.

I don't think having Petaia on the wing is why the Reds couldn't get out of their 22 last week, I think that had more to do with the lack of possession.

Wright is backing Flook to start at 13 against the Force

You forgot to shuffle 9 and 15 :D. i think there are a tad too many changes there. Can't see a new 10/12/13 pairing with a debut winger (for the season). Steward is playing the house down at 12 - why change it?

If CFS is back from injury he should start at 14 and move Hardy to 23. I think the coaches will keep JOC (James O'Connor) at flyhalf and Stewart at 12.

I agree, RR.
Keep your half, fly half, & half 3/4 combination together, as it should only improve with each game.
Petaia should play out centre (his preferred position, with CFS (assuming fit) & Daugunu on the wings, & Campbell at fullback

We just need to get on the attack with our backs finding gaps and pushing our forwards to the try time. We haven’t quite mastered this yet. Defence looking good.

yikes. Hearing some more 'front row' concerns for the Reds. Could see an interesting bench

I've got Reds by 25 in this one. Wonder if the time away from home is starting to sap the Force, and losing Stowers in a big blow. After last week I think the Reds hit their stride and run away with this in the second half.
