Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

TSR

Hopefully we’ll see the same starting team for the Reds as their last game.

Brumbies firm favourites, Reds need to start winning games like this to move from being a team with potential.

abso-bloody-lutely.

Unfortunately I haven't seen a whole lot as yet to suggest they can get over the Brumbies.

There's been talk of Blyth back at lock with ASY (Angus Scott-Young) to 6, Wright at 7 and Fraser to the bench.

Could make sense , with ASY (Angus Scott-Young) out there early for the grind and bring Fraser on later in the game when things open up a little.

It makes me a little nervous the Brumbies not having a lock replacement. It worked for us last week but still, seems a little dangerous.

I assume Samu would be considered the lock replacement?

Good to see Feao back as well.

Is Smith injured?

McDermott and McReight on the bench will make for an up tempo finish, plus whatever Petaia can bring.

Looking forward to it!

Brumbies $1.34 favourites. Unfortunately that's probably correct....
This would be a big upset. Brumbies very strong across the park - esp. the backline. Reds forwards need to have a blinder

The Reds certainly have the firepower to get the job done. $1.34 is not great value on the Brumbies imo.

Folau Faiingaa is paying $1.90 for anytime tryscorer, has a hooker ever been lower?

Great opportunity here for the Reds. Definitely need to front this challenge. Really looking forward to it.

Brumbies game to lose. Will have one of their strongest lineouts with Swain and Frost in the second row. Scrum battle could be evened up a bit with Hoopert out. For all the talk about the strength of the Reds backrow, it has been there that the Brumbies have set themselves up for victory in earlier games. Valetini has been outstanding, along with Wilson they are the in-form backrowers in the comp, and Pete Samu just had a cracker last week.

Brumbies backline looks to be playing with more teamwork and purpose than the Reds, with Powell, Simone, Wright and TK outstanding, Banks coming good after injury and Kuenzle fitting in nicely in place of Lolesio. Kata on the wing can do anything with the ball in hand.

Should be a fittingly good game between the top two sides.
