I didn’t know they’d changed that either. I was trying to work out why they didn’t just jam it against the post.

Yeah me too. I was scratching my head wondering why I think it was ASY (Angus Scott-Young) didn't touch the ball against the post.

Interesting and a little mystifying that a few, maybe more, real rugby fans missed the news about the change to the base of the posts law. I think it was highlighted earlier in the year right here on GAGR.

I thought they played that rule last year as well.

Hard to keep up with continual law changes!
I just checked - the goal pad law was changed in May of last year.
I've gone two seasons not knowing. Just as well I don't ref.

Not just a great advertisement for the audience but also for OS based Aus players. Imagine turning out every weekend in cold as fuck Leicester and playing in front of empty stadiums. It's raining and 14 degrees there tomorrow, with 21 days before Summer. Whereas if you took a wee pay cut you could be playing in front of your friends, family and a roaring live home crowd on a day that's a week out from Winter and 27 degrees & sunny.

Good turns into good turns into good.

Ok I'm just going to defend my hometown here.
Leicester Tigers average around 19-20K a game and that was with us finishing second from the bottom. (and that's regular games).
The finals get around 75K to 80K

Meant more in reference to COVID. Didn’t mean to pick on your fair city ;)

Jesus Reginald, do you really want him starting up on Tupou's scrumming again?

Do you think he needs any motivation?

Let's face it: Berry's track record at scrum time hasn't been great all season. He let the Ponies get away with murder as well at points. But if Swain and Neville were doing their job in the second row, the Reds would not have been near as dominant.

am I allowed to mention that Nic White should have been yellow carded twice and given away two penalty tries?

Firstly the no arms shoulder charge on Fotuaika for his non-try and then the knees into Petaia for his no-try.

Real score should have been 33-16.
