I have a few predictions for the Tahs.
I reckon Turner will have a stellar S14 and carry that form into the internationals and Will Caldwell will emerge as a genuine option at lock for the Wallabies in the J. Horwill mold.
Beale will impress, having been relieved of the game management duties and will prove an exciting prospect at 12 or 15. Burgess will have a similar year to last year, struggling occasionally with his delivery but taking other games by the scruff of the neck. Holmes and McKibbin will fight it out for the bench spot but both will see a decent amount of game time. Holmes will look much better for the Tahs than he ever did for the Bumboys.
TPN's throwing will be much improved and the Tahs lineout will be one of the best in the comp, to match their magnificent scrum, which will again destroy all comers. Mowen will learn to pass and be a real asset and will be included in the Wallabies squad at the expense of Hogdson. Palu will be dynamic but Waugh will look off the pace compared to previous seasons.
Mitchell will be under-utilised but have a few magnificent moments. Anesi will prove a big disappointment. Also, Roodt will struggle for game time early on behind Mumm and Caldwell but will easily lock down the bench position ahead of Thomson and Jowitt. After a season or two he'll move to the Reds.
Horne will be lackluster and break down, to be replaced by Rory Sidey, who will do a good job at 13 as Tom Carter 2.0. Barnes will play 10 and provide the direction and playmaking the Tahs have so desperately needed. Hangers will ride the pine.
Robinson will be immense but Baxter will alternate starting duties with Palmer, who will also join the Wallabies squad.
Tahs will make the final. If they play the Crusaders they will lose. If they play the Bumboys they will win.
They are my predictions. I have spoken. Now let it be so.
