Just saw the score - holy fuck, what a shellacking!
By the end they tried to even in out by reducing the brumbies by two players, they still managed a tighthead and a try though.

Look up the Waratahs record vs the Highlanders in Sydney vs the Stormer. Stormers have a game to hurt us, the Highlanders don't. I don't think their pack will handle ours. Only lost early in the season to them as we couldn't catch a ball.
All 45 of those kegs belonged to the excess of Tamiefuna, and he didnt put any of them to any constructive use last night, preferring instead to waddle around like a pudding lost in a cake factoryHighlanders pack last night was outweighed by the Chiefs by 45kg.
I'd rather see an Oz team win. If the Tahs want to win the comp, they have to be able to beat the Highlanders, so I'm happy for a Brumbies win.Tahs supporters should be angry. They lost a great opportunity to face these weak Stormers for an easy ticket to the final
Stormers will be disappointed with that game, i guess its the risk of resting so many last round, they looked really disjointed and out of sorts. Lineouts probably cost them the game. Brumbies were allowed to run rampant and it probably flattered them a bit. Huge ask against the Canes next week, I cant see them being good enough to win, but hopefully they wear them out a bit for us!!
The slow, spoiling game favoured by the Stormers (and the Force) has its limitations. The Brumbies have been criticised this year for being forwards based, but their game has always been up-tempo and positive. Brumbies simply outmuscled them in the tight stuff and were able to then speed up the game and the Stormers just couldn't keep up.
I meant the Stormers ...The Highlanders last spanked the Tahs away in 2007, if you could call a 1-point win a 'spanking'.
They're busy preparing explanations as to why Aussie rugby still sucksWhere are all the ebullient pre game Stormers fans?
(cricket noises ....)
He'll be lucky to make TRC - he's not a kiwi playing in kiwiland
Not sure what happened to the Stormers but they certainly didn't turn up for this one and had their worst game in some time. They were missing their two most experienced players in Vermuelen and Burger and this certainly didn't help them, but injuries are no excuse in this competition.
Their lineout was absolutely woeful and that was probably what cost them the game. They could not build any sustained pressure on the Brumbies - they rely on a territory based kicking game, and that can't work if you don't have a functioning lineout!
