SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) Rd 3 Force v Reds in Perth

Reds only managed 1 team session last week, Ballymore was flooded, some players houses were flooded and to top it off the team had a 13 hour trip to Perth.

Dont think it was a tactic to slow the game, just a byproduct of a shit week for SEQ.

Just watched the full replay , the injury stoppages for the injured Reds’ players were legitimate, maybe except for Petaia having his hamstrings rubbed, but that only happened when someone else was already down. The ref could have easily called play on if it was just Petaia getting a massage.

Plenty of scrum resets which slowed things down, don’t think that was all the Reds. Also didn’t notice until rewatching that the errors certainly crept up meaning more stoppages for restarts off set piece.

Yes stoppages detract from the viewing experience, the need for constant entertainment is why we have 20/20 cricket. Don’t want that for rugby , or maybe we already do in the form of 7’s ?
