Read that Rob and wasn't surprised in least, I have had impression their rugby is kept alive more than ours for last few years. Generally the refs (and Luke Pearce springs to mind) are trying to keep game moving,

Well Chiefs have beefed up their Lock stocks with picking up Selby-Rickit heading north for 2023 and beyond. Guess they shoring uo 2m+ locks after Lurch packs it in after WC next year. As it is next year they got Lurch, Vaií,McWhannell, Selby-Rickit and Ah Khuoi who seems to be movin to 6 . I was wondering about the Clan, but they still got Pari Pari P, Dickson and Holland can't think who else , but they not in bad position anyway.
Now if someone can just send a lock or 2 to Canes I would be happy.

I reasonably happy with that Canes squad , certainly no shortage of plyers who can play 6 & 8, shame they let Gibson go as I thought he was good option at 7. Guess Tyler Labusher will gat a few games, and think maybe Gibson had to be released to make room for Lakai, who lets face it is going to have a bloody great future. Like Chiefs maybe a little light on 7s depth. By geez we got a lot of pretty capable loosies running around in NZ, maybe good solid 7s is the lightest number. Kirifi and Christie etc are bloody good boys, perhaps an extra couple of kilos would do them good. I guessing that Booth will be our 3rd 9 this year as I think Roigard will almost be challenging TJ for the top spot. Also like the look of midfield, with Procter, Sullivan and PUJ probably main choices, but can see Higgins sneaking up order by end of season, and of course Jordie will cover there, as we got Love and Moorby as a couple of decent 15s.

If I was Canes i'd be looking to play Jordie at 12 and Love at 15 with Higgins rotating in at 12 and Sullivan/Proctor rotating at 13. PUJ could also play 13 with Sullivan on the wing.

Be honest although JGB was a pretty average 10 at Canes, Clan might be better with him than Marty Banks. Geez they got some tall timber for lineout if PPP back though.

Found an interesting article on how come Crusaders ended up with young Taha Kemara, a 19yo 10 from Waikato who looks to have a heap of potential. He actually rung Clayton MacMillan who sent him south, as Chiefs were 'investing' in Kaleb Trask and had other pretty reasonable 10s on books, and thought Kemara could learn a fair bit behind Mounga, and hopefully Chiefs will get him in future if it suits him. Chiefs are the same outfit who have arranged for Kaleb Trask to go to Japan for a year so he gets time at 10 to develop. I still believe this kind of thinking is what helps keep NZ rugby in a fairly good position playerwise. Sometimes the player devlopment is more important then building stocks up.
