Hurricanes must be warm favourites for this match. They have one match under their belt where they performed pretty well against the unbackable competition favourites. The Blues, meanwhile, were forced into a first round bye with many players having also missed the NPC, and their All Blacks not having played at all in the pre-season.

Despite all of the furore about his treasonous signing, and having to pretend he likes these flashy big city c*nts throughout pre-season, this here is the moment when Luke Romano's red-and-black Cantab soul withered and dissolved into the ether like Australia's Bledisloe hopes and dreams at Eden Park.

I looking forward to seeing Segner get some gametime. I know I go on about this kid, but as I have said I like the look if him.

Was interested watching Rugby pod other day, and hear them talk about the switch play where Bryn Hall switched from going right and threw a 40 metre pass over Jamie Booth's head to set up one try. When he was asked if it was a play from training, Hall said well actually was just a 8-9 play going right, then Jordan saw a gap and called the switch, Hall saw Booth following him to right , so threw pas over him to left. That is what I so happy to see (even from Crusaders) in NZ f***en heads up rugby! Yeah!!

Tribe heading home today, Clan & CruSadists likely to follow after their match:

It's a bit counter-intuitive but with NZ moving to "Phase 3" at midnight tonight having the players back in their own homes actually makes mass-unavailability due to Covid less likely. Only confirmed cases & their household contacts have to isolate, other contacts only have to monitor for symptoms (but I'm pretty sure NZR will be making extensive use of RAT's).

Fucks sake, discipline was the biggest issue for CruSadists last week & they've already given away five penalties & at least three advantages inside 13 minutes. Must. Do. Betta.

Josh Ioane gone for the night by the look of it & Clan with a 6/2 bench could be an issue later on. That said Lentjes may still have enough toe to play midfield if not wing any more.

That's more like it from Burke. Odd decision from Clan to hoof away a FK with 90sec on the clock, surely a scrum & clearance or even a tap, coupla rucks & clearance was the better option? Not like capatain ASmith to mis-read so badly.
