Well what a bloody relief. ;) Sure Meisiekind have to play against the Iere. But the scrumming was the more worried part. BJ/Smit/Beast have to play against the Iere aswell. Great game by that man Brussouw again and Habana also look like he is hitting form just at the right stage. Anyway much better performance and I enjoy Beast bitching after the scrum more then him. Bekker finally look like a worthy test player now and was worried when they took off Bakkies for Matfield. But it work out fine when we dominate the lineouts.

Nowe bring on the Iere!

32 - 10 to the Boks was the final score. The Italians had three South African born player on the pitch for them. Del Fava, Geldenhuis, and a new cap Adi Jacobs. Jacobs showed his worth to the Italians, playing a crucial role in both of their tries! A good showing for him on debut for the Azzurri.

Jacobs was absolutely brilliant in throwing intercepts and turning the ball over. Bloody good Italian player. He should stay over there.

Beast, Smit, BJ turned the scrum around 100% The look on Castrogoivanni's face was priceless.

Let's just play a 3 at 3 and get on with it. Botha has looked great in all the Ulster matches I have seen and showed why he needs to play for SA again.

One thing I'd change in future if I were Snor. Pick overseas players when touring north and give Bok players that played all year a rest. BJ & CJ were eye openers and the likes of a Wikus van Heerden, Daan Human, Marius Joubert would be just as good , knowing the enviroment and players well.

OK so the last test still outstanding, so lets take stock of the players that played and what players should have been tried.
15: Kirschner : He looked settled now on test level. Kicking, fielding high balls, defending , attack sure test level.
Rose: He had a great tour in both matches. Add attacking a different dimension and sure a game breaker. Have some exceptional ball skills. One more S14 season under Muir will do him the world of good.
Viljoen: Had only a few minutes but did not look good at all.

Backup: Thought Joe Pietersen would have been a good option. Sure add the extra skill of place kicking. Jantjes & Luddick injured.

Wings: Habana: the best we have.
JP: a bad tour, the Twin a little better but surely Nokwe the man that look like pushing JP next year.

Backup: Pitty the Cheetah boy Mapoe havent had a crack.

13: Mossie the best we have. Juan de Jong sure showed in the Sarries game he have what it takes. Still young and over passionate at the moment but his defense and attacking look promising. He do his running at full speed and defensive strong for such a small frame.

Backup: Next year expecting the rise of our biggest young talent on the rise, that man Robert Ebersohn.

12: I always rated Jean de Villiers but I never would have thought that he left such a big gap here. Jean have the ability as a 12 to let players shine around him. AD is a waiste and Meisiekind the next best we have. A pitty Peter Grant did not got a change. I still believe he made up for Jean in the WP setup when Jean left. Bosman is just overrated.

10: After years of suffering we finally have a world class 10 in Morne. Ruaan a more then able backup in 10.

Backup: JL Potgieter showed in the CC he have more then enough talent and will be interesting to see him develop in the 10/12 role with the Bulls.

9: FdP the best in the world. Pienaar better then most but the rest a bit of a waste. Hougaard had a mare against Sarries.

Backup: Its the one position we have lots and lots of talent. Anyone of Sarel Potgieter, Hanno Vermaak/ Cockette and Duvenhage I am sure can play on test level.

8: Kankowski. Still havent answer all his critics and myself obvious a Ashley Johnson biased supporter. We still have Spies injured and Duanne Vermeulen losing out on selection.

7 Schalk. Injured his ribs against the Hane and with Juan injured, Deysel on the rise, Pakslae as backup still plenty of stock at home with the likes of Francois Louw & Frans Cronje. Please just no Raubenheimer here.

6 Brussouw. The man is in world class player bracket. The dirt trackers never had a fecther and thats the biggest reason for their struggle. Hell a Stegman or Baywatch would have made the world of differense for them.

Locks: We have 4 test level locks at the moment. Bakkies/Matfield/Bekker/Pakslae. Halgreave sure show his promise in the Sarries match. Also some uncapped young talent like Fondse & Sykes.

3. TH a big problem position. All iof them struggle, Jannie Doep & Smit. CJ havent got a lot of playtime but BJ Botha sure show his class in his few minutes. WP Nel the young one losing out on touring. Lets hold tumbs and hope Os working with him in another S14 season and the young WP stock in Brock Harris and the young JC Kritzinger or whoever get through.

2. Bismarck did not look in touch against the French, CB struggle, Strauss not much better but finally Smit look much better when switched there. Gary Botha is back and Liebenberg sure can play on this level.

1. LH Beast struggled against the French but made a good comeback, Heinke is a LH, to big for TH, Guthro is a bit like AD Jacobs, overrated and du Preez got his change. Showed around a bit but I am sure they leave the strongest LH at home, Wicus Blaauw.

Can't blame JP. Nobody once passed the ball to him. Had no chances.

Pienaar has been terrible at 10.
