I'm just quoting this for posterity. He is going to be the next J Fourie
JJ will never be a Mossie, his hands is a bit of a problem plus he'll never run the same lines. Anyway wont mind if he get to that level. I'd like to see Serfontein in 13, he have all the skills (speed/line breaking/off load/finishing/defense) to be a Springbok legend, even greater then Mossie.

The poor oak didnt finish(dive) properly, and failed to cleanly pick up a bouncing rugby ball from under Bjorn's toes - hardly makes him a liability in the co-ordination department.

I just dont want a repeat of the Bismark/Smit situation at number 12 at the next RWC.

12 Serfontein
13 Engelbrecht (Open to the return of Fourie)

I can see why you say that. When JJ is pumping his legs through the tackle the resemblance is clear. Without taking anything away from JJ, Fourie had a lot more to his game than what JJ has shown so far. What I like about JJ is that he brings a freak athleticism that is missing from the rest of the springbok squad at the moment.

Respect to the young man, I remember watching Brache and JP Du Plessis running rings around him in the CC last year, this year I haven't (yet) seen him get lost on defence like that.

Good morning Gentlemen. First timer here.

I think our midfield is promising with Jan Serfontein and JJ engelbrecht. Both are strong ball carriers and they have some pace as well. Engelbrecht will come right, give him a chance, what really excites me though is the pace we now have in our backline, and with Willie there to create a few more opportunities we should be able to vary our attack a bit more.

Stick to Bok strengths, but have a little magic and a lot of pace.

One thing that is certain though, Coenie Oosthuizen should not be converted into a Tight head prop that is currently our biggest issue. No tight heads.

We better hope the young guns come through, otherwise when Jannie retires we might have a serious problem.

Yeah, that I know, I just remember seeing Botha at 6 for the Bulls and Coetzee at 6 for the Sharks. In fact, that is where I usually see them when I see them play.

Yeah but the Bulls have Spies as their eight and they will not swop him with Botha. So they slot him in at 6. Bulls sit with Stegman, Botha, Jacques and Dewald Potgieter

Louw has something to say about that.

Louw is playing very well. I wonder how much of that is due to the combinations in the back row and Bismark / Strauss picking up a share of the pilfering duties? I really like Vermulen too, he reminds me a bit of Kieren Ried; good grafter with a bit of a hard edge.

I would like to post how great the team is, but I will reserve judgement until after next weekend. If we can back it up with a good performance again then I will be a convert.

Very important one you raise here. Duane fits very well with the agrression and brutality we have in the Bok tight 5. His defense around the fringes, taking the oppo back in the tackle is something the Stormers always miss when he is not around. Its going to be very important this weekend against the best team in the world. Pienaar played well this weekend, if he can do the same we'll be fine. If we could have FdP this weekend, I would have been much Happier.
