Rugby fans will have the unique experience of seeing two Test matches at the same venue on the same day – all for the price of one – with kick off in the Castle Lager Incoming Series just less than a fortnight away.
The Springboks will take on Italy, Scotland and Samoa in an unprecedented mini-tournament in Durban, Nelspruit and Pretoria. On each match day, fans will get to see all four teams in action.
The series kicks off at Growthpoint Kings Park on 8 June at 14h15 when Samoa take on Scotland in an early dress rehearsal for the 2015 Rugby World Cup: both teams are grouped together with the Springboks in the pool stages.
Then at 17h15 the Springboks take on Italy the same venue to complete five hours of entertainment.
The fixtures are reversed a week later when Test rugby makes its debut at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit with the Boks meeting Scotland and Samoa and Italy going head-to-head in the early game.
Teams will earn log points and bonus points – as per Vodacom Super Rugby – over the opening two rounds to determine the final fixtures for Loftus Versfeld. In the finale, Team 4 will play Team 3 before the top two play off in the final game for the Castle Lager Incoming Series Shield.
Tickets for the series can be obtained online as follows:
·June 8 (Growthpoint Kings Park): Samoa v Scotland; South Africa v Italy (tickets R450 or R160 for scholars) www.computicket.com
·June 15 (Mbombela Stadium): Samoa v Italy; South Africa v Scotland (R350 & R450) www.computicket.com
·June 22 (Loftus Versfeld): 4th v 3rd; 2nd v 1st (R350 & R450) www.ticketpros.co.za

Ok I think it was stupid to get Samoa over. Half our players are already broken in half and now we are going to take the bit that is not totally broken and play them against grass surgeons who's going to cut them in half.

We''l only play them if we make the finals. They do play against the Lions in a warmup.

This generation of Samoan footballers playing on dry ground against Scotland and Italy should be quite entertaining.

Feeling totally underwhelmed by this series. Too much rugby. These incoming tests are usually of poor quality.
This is a great opportunity to blood young players but then you see Meyer talking about being please that Kirchner is recovering from injury and I rapidly start to lose any interest.
My attention is on the Lions series.

Oh so it was not as serious as it looked like. But then again the Cheetahs will play half damage goods like they already showed with Goosen

He sat out at the Bok camp. Goosen wasnt the big one, Juan Smith it was. I just hope Willie can play, watching him since schooldays and always knew he is going to be a Bok one day. The modern Michael Doep.
