Sinax High School Rugby Tournament 2012

I'm not everly familiar with this tournament, but a friend from home has just told me that Shawnigan Lake, this year and in recent years the best high school rugby team in canada, has defeated Kelston Boys High School from NZ...who are apparently the reigning NZ high school champs.
I used to go to St Michael's in Victoria B.C which is one of the other canadian rugby factories...so to hear that the SL have achieved something like that is pretty damn impressive.
Since shortly after i graduated in 2002, SL have apparently been recruiting extensively for their rugby program and have bagged multiple BC championships in rugby since then...that more or less being the equivalent of being the best high school team in canada.

the point is...that is massive for canadian rugby and i'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on Kelston Boys?

Shawnigan Lake is where the Canadian team hold a lot of camps isn't it? It seems to have all the facilities required.

It wasn't the strongest team the KBHS could have fielded. I understand they gave a lot of the junior squad members a run. But still an outstanding result for the Canadians.

played them a few years ago when they toured here. great rugby school and some quality players.

great result for shawnigan lake, even kbhs junior's are no push over for a North American school.

Your memory is probably better than mine, PB, so you may be able to help me here. Can you recall the name of one of our most prolific posters who seems absolutely fascinated with the games played at his old school?
