Woodies beat Southern fair and square today. Makes a nice change after the Two Blues win. And our losses.

yep some interesting results today.
West Harbour pipping Manly, Woodies beating Souths, Rats beating Easts. Was at the Tahs last night and jeez the Marlins would benefit from Hooper, Gleeson and Porecki...one day...

The comp is insanely even. No more 30+ drubbings - or even 20+ !

As always, Super returning players will massively impact the backend but as of right now you couldn't say who is the best team at all.

yeah and that is a great thing. 2 blues losing by a point after hammering uni last week... Would be nice to see a different mix in the semis this year but Supe players seem to determine the status quo each year...

two blues have lost their 4 games by 2 points, 8 points (& i think there was points from gordan late?), 2 points & now 1 point. hahaha thats rough! they could easily be 4 & 1. Is it a top 8 again this yr?

Any standouts in the comp so far looking at higher honours?
I've said it a few times on here but Jude Gibbs (Norths) is good enough for a professional team right now IMO. Haven't watched enough full games of some teams to see who's the Blake Schoup running around.

A lot of the Aus U20s & Gen Blue guys are standing out which is great to see.
Wilson (Easts)
Bowen (Easts)
O'Donnell (Norths)
Jahnke-Tavana (Eastwood)

Wouldn't mind watching the Warringah & Eastwood Colts play with them both being undefeated so far

Gibbs and Bowen are twice the fly-half that Donaldson and Edmed are right now (bit of an exaggeration i know but still..) Seb Cameron from Norths has also been playing really well. Dowling for Randwick has been playing well at both wing and full-back.

Ropata from Souths looks comfortable at this level. He's big and strong, only 18 too I think.

Thomas Maka has been dominant around the park for Gordon. Gets his throws right and he will be in line for higher honours. Good player.

He is very good around the field. Signed with the Tahs but needs to figure out the throwing. It’s particularly bad if he’s to go any higher. Even Gordon have had him in 2nd grade most of the year. Was poor throwing for the Aus U20s last year as well.
Built like a tank which we lack at 2 across the country at the moment.

Have we got any specialist throwing coaches in Oz? If not (and that is what it looks like), why not?

There's an English throwing coach who works remotely with a lot of our guys, don't know his name though

Huge job opportunity for someone.

Quality of our throwing is so bad we should start by painting dots on walls and making them do hundreds of reps.

Many years ago when I was at High School, our Physical Education (not Private Equity!!) teacher was Alan Morton (a Wallaby winger). In those days the blind side winger threw the ball into the lineout. Al used to practise his throws against the wall of the gym.

6 Tahs in the line up with Heaven joining them.

Interested to see Ronan Leahy at 13 for Uni. Excellent player at school boy level but less spoken about when you are in the same backline as Max Jorgensen. I believe the Force have him signed up.

Yep hes in the western force academy. Already making his shute shield 1st grade debut is a huge achievement. Genuine attacking and defending threat, will be interesting too see when Fowler gets called up for first grade seeing as he's already in the Aus u20s camp. I've heard hes young for his year right?
