I always find it amusing that the successful clubs (In recent times anyway) always seem to have their Annual Reports out in a timely and detailed manner (Syd Uni, Randwick, Warringah etc) yet strugglers such as West Harbour and Gordon are yet to release theirs?

It really is both the back and front office that make a successful club.

No surprise really, after all, club rugby is semi-professional, with a very heavy reliance on volunteer workers. The successful clubs attract more support, and vice versa.


Of course there are a lot of other factors, but at the end of the day, success breeds success. Location helps, of course, which always makes me wonder why Gordon struggles so much.

Southern Districts have released there’s they don’t put on there website

It should be apparent to you that annual reports are usually released in conjunction with the AGM.
You mention West Harbour for example, who have not had their AGM yet, & consequently
have not released their annual report.
Not so amusing.

Wasn't intended as an attack on a club, that makes sense.
I had assumed that given it is 2019 and the season is a few months away, all AGM's had run their course. (I have always been a fan of getting them done early so the new/or incumbent president and Board can get there plans sorted for the upcoming season. These things can occasionally cause tensions too, so gives time for them to simmer)

Fair play though. I wish the new board at the Pirates all the best for what should be an exciting 2019!

Nothing to do with annual reports, but I don't wish all the best;) Just mostly the best....until Manly hold up the Shute Shield at the end of 2019!!!!!!!!:D

Pie Eater, some clubs don't have their AGM until the new year so that the books are up to date for the calendar year and an audit completed before an annual report is released. Aligning 'successful clubs' with the release of their annual report is just ridiculous.
