One hopes that the "Western Sydney Relocation" thought bubble has burst.

IIRC this proposal from ARU came after the Woodies had put 400+ points to zip on The Emus across all 4 grades and it proposed amalgamations of the Mighty Parramatta 2 Blues and the Emus with a relocation to Blacktown, and a move of Eastwood from TG Millner to The Hills.

I'm told by another club GM that Manly's GM has resigned. Wonder if it has anything to do with the $103K loss posted this year. Jumped or pushed?

Wasn't 103k, it was less.
Still cash at bank.
Winning lots of games and getting minor premiership - I think a few clubs pay for wins.
Having looked over the P&L in detail a great club.
Sporting clubs are often a very interesting balance -I.e.
- you do not have share holders with their hands out wanting dividends.
- you want a strong club, with happy spectators, sponsors, gate,
- with a good balance sheet that is "+" not "-"

The snouts also tell me that Jeremy Paul and Teki Tuipulotu have had a massive falling out already at Penrith with Tuipulotu getting sacked on Tuesday night after training.

It appears all is not well (still) at the foot of the mountains.

Typo the P&L shows the details and a lessor figure.
Best gate in the Shute.
Sponsorship down a little.
Book launch dinner that involved the PM and Alan Jones had to be rescheduled, & reimbursed.
Re launch of the annual Ball.
Few other things when you understand / review it was a rather successful year.

I like to watch

It's a bit scary that the club with the biggest gate, and strong sponsorship can lose $103k.
Obviously success is not solely judged on the bottom line, but it demonstrates how finely balanced many of the clubs must be.
