Congrats to:
  • The Corporation & the Woodies for 4/4 in the Grade Finals
  • MMM, Randi-Wix and Rats for 3/4 in the Grade Finals
The 2015 Club Championships were like a ducks backside, and they went right down to the wire. They were not decided until the last First Grade game in the last round of the season.

^^^ Liam Winton is a 6 Player Points Player, while Gordon and Clunies-Ross are 1 points.

Given that The Corporation started with 97 Player Points and ran on 23 Player Points off the bench (all player either 2nd Grade or Colts previously so their Player Points don't count), I can't see them fitting Winton in the starting 15 even if he was fit.
http://www.rugbylink.com.au/common/pages/public/rv/match.aspx?locx=MATCH&matchID=2140938

If fit, Clunies-Ross could start in lieu for fellow 1 Player Point wingers, Narracott or O'Dare, and Gordon similar for fellow 1 Player Point halfback Draper without impacting their Player Points Cap.

Doesn't HJ following do the same, or is that just to sensible

I reckon the finals will be along these lines:

Manly Oval - Saturday
Eastern Suburbs (3) vs Northern Suburbs (4) - Third Grade

TG Millner - Saturday
Eastwood (2) vs Eastern Suburbs (5) - Fourth Grade
  • To me the above is just so easy, and sensible.
Dave Beat, doesn't your solution have Easts 3rds and 4ths playing on two different fields on the same day? That doesn't work.

Yes - can't help that Easts finished 5th and Woodies get the call on ground.
Then with regards to 3rd Grade no games at Nths Or Woolarah so cant help there either.

Reece Hodge destined for greatness!!! Looking forward to watching him over the next couple of weeks!!!

2013 Aus 20's - ahead of Horwitz
2014 would have been Aus 20's but busted his ankle in the 2013 GF.
This is his first year back and he's having a big year - team game and all 15 players contribute, but the Marlins back line is humming at the moment, and they haven't leaked many tries this year.

Out of all the young stars on show Hodge was the standout. Didn't see him or Lane miss a tackle either :p. Randwick will be a tougher proposition this week though.

No, I mean they need to be able to provide reserves. This is why your 'easy and sensible' solution doesn't work. There is a reason the games are scheduled as they are.

Details of next weekend's games (times, grounds, etc) are now on the NSWRU website, but you have to look at the "Draw/Results" for each grade (listed as round 19).

Congrats to Manly on being top dog this year.

The finals should now remain amature IMO.

The NRC is for the mix between professionals and amature

I think we can assume that this is just a stuff up. Surely the code's flagship "club" (so-called) can do better than this?

Then again, they can't teach their famous fly-half to cope with the most basic skill of kicking the bloody ball. Bring back Rupert Rosenblum, I say!!!

It is a bit reminiscent of the good old days, when Uni struggled to fill all four grade teams during the term breaks and the actual students who comprised the playing ranks were on holidays.

Lots of A.N. Others in those days.
