Isn't it the SRU not NSWRU that run the Shute Shield, or at least I think it is their tournament.

It is easier to find out more about the inner workings of the Freemasons, and ASIS than it is the SRU.

Beasties game vs Manly is still on. The oval is looking a little scruffy.

Manly get some piggies meat to take an early lead 5 - 0 after 6 minutes.

13 minutes gone and more piggy meat (Poreki) for MMM. Manly lead 12 - 0 after Lane converts.

Manly THP is being worked over. Lucky to get that penalty
Doesn't look like any of the Brodies are playing Front Row for the Beasties today. Who are their fatties?

Beasties (Edwards) get a meat pie from rolling maul. Hudson slices conversion to the right. Manly lead 18-5. 13 minutes to go to oranges.

Aaaggh. Ads during Shute Shield games. Going to take a lot of getting used to after 2 million years of ABC ad free coverage.

M2B and Shoremen, and Wicks and Rats played yesterday.

Woodies v Pirates game is on according to twitter. Woodies lead 6-0 after 15 minutes.
Beasts v Marlins is on the tele. 18-5 to Marlins with 3 minutes to oranges.

Hobbits and Emu twitter accounts are silent. Not sure if game is on or not.

BuildCorp v Highlanders postponed.

My first Bar TV game this year, and the coverage seems OK. I was expecting much worse based on some previous comments on the forum.

Not quite ABC standard but happy to see Saturday afternoon footy on the tele.

Oranges 18 - 8 to MMM.

Now 21 - 8 to Marlins. Brodie senior on from the bench.
Dear Bar TV, I'm pretty sure that it was Brodie Junior (Rhys) that was the Australian Schoolboy Rep not Brodie Senior (Clay).

No change to score at 56 minutes.

65 minutes gone. Beasties have scored a converted try (watching the 7's so missed it) to bring score to MMM 21 Beasties 15. 14 minutes to go.

Sir blows no game and the Marlins win by 21 - 15 with beasties hot on attack in the last little bit of the game.

Beasties Piggies are no easy beats and held their own today against a fairly good Marlins pack in some pretty poor weather which favoured piggy play.

Next week's televised game is Sydney University vs Manly from No 1 oval in Camperdown.

As 7 Two commentator Andrew Swain announces that Eastern Suburbs were the victors today - Oops. :D

Manly up - but how good were those scrums TITANIC battle up front.
Very few resets, and a high completion rate.

More later.

A bit more rain and Uni No 1 will resemble a swamp next Satruday.

That's pretty keen for someone with a two blue on their profile!
Normally get train out there but took 40 minutes to get from main road to car park on Saturday
Gordon always a nice venue to visit if mtbs and pirates away although I notice a lack of pipes this year
Korean BBQ or Japanese before the 2's kick off will get me to a ground every time!
