They are indeed planning to put a carpark under Manly Oval to accomodate demolition of the high rise car park in Whistler St behind the Corso - hopefully it will only be 2 seasons at an appropriately resourced Keirle Park- upgraded changeroom and hospitality facilities , temp grandstands etc. Mind you parking on adjacent ovals would be a plus for the time it takes.

Call me old fashioned too but I'm with coach on WH spectator noise and that's an opinion in prospect not from experience !

Here's hoping they'll address the issue of fixing that dog track of a playing surface on Kierle too. Only playing surface that is worse in the comp is Woollahra.

Uni tight five looks pretty big. Steve Walsh with match of the day. Jim Stewart playing both colts and 1's.

Interesting to see the battle of the front rows with the two monsters Wests have up front v Tilse and Ryan.
I wouldn't call Lomax a monster. Handy player though. Lolohea is an interesting prospect - the next season and the following one, will be very interesting in terms of his long term prospects.

I agree, according to the ABC commentary last weekend he scored 20 tries in colts last year.

That sounds about right. During his junior and Colts years he was very potent close to the line. I quite like the kid but I think he himself would acknowledge he has to work on some things. The good thing is - he seems prepared to do just that.

Also any truth to the rumour that Waratah recruit Tala Gray will be doning the Beasties jumper in the near future ?

Hugh Jarse

Rocky Elsom (76)
Would make some sense as he was with the Beasties before he left.

I would have liked to have see him being directed to a club in a non-heartland area, as he was originally from Victoria with no "real" junior links to Shute Shield clubs.

The game should be a beauty. Randwick will be rank outsiders based on Manlys form against Uni IMO. Am thinking Randwick may struggle against the big Manly pack.

I suspect this is why Junior Tavalii has been brought into the pack and Connor moved to the centres ie to add some bulk. Apart from the fact that Junior had a big game last weekend in 2nds.
