I think McCutcheon played a bit of a loan hand at competing for the ball for Uni, in fact McCutcheon was the only player from either side that looked like continually getting turnovers. I was very disappointed with the locks and flankers for Uni, as I thought (outside of McCutcheon) they were all outplayed by their rivals. The front rows...well, you just have to look at how the scrums went for the first 50. I thought that Perrett was perhaps the pick of the Woodies back rowers myself, but could be swayed.

I rate Hugh Perrett very highly. I hope the Tahs have him signed to a EPS contract.

I am a Woodies supporter, so I am obviously biased. However, Hugh Perrett is simply a hugely talented footballer. He was sensational early in his career, the pity is that he went to the UK too early, rather than pursuing a career here.

Sadly, he is a player without a real position at the higher level of the game.

Also any one from Gordon rugby confirm that the Gordon Club went into administration yesterday?????
Sad news if true....

yes but it was the social club not the football club

true it was their licensed club, however they are dreaming if they think it will not effect the rugby club. You only have to look at clubs like Parramatta and Warringah to see the effect of not having a licensed club has on the rugby club...........

I think he'll be useful at any one of the Aus teams. He's not really a specialist in any of the backrow positions, 7 would probably be his best fit at the Super level.

I felt Hugh Perrett whilst a very handy and influential player in the Shute Shield competition, didn't make the same impact whenever he ran on the field for the Tahs in the past Super Rugby season, and the Tahs are best advised to look for a younger and bigger player elsewhere.

Unfortunately for him he doesn't have the size to compete in a backrow position at Super rugby level.

Not only that but he struggled to read the game, could've been inexperience but he found himself chasing the ball often.

I don't think it is inexperience, it might be the fact that he has played everywhere in the back row, and also played quite a few games at inside centre (in previous seasons, not the last couple of years).

Jeez Jeremy Tilse would have a sore back and neck after what Kieran Longbottom did to him!! Loved seeing our Waratah prop getting pumped.....NOT

And I'd throw Kane Douglas, Paddy Ryan and Dean Mumm into that mix too...............

There's a bit of a pattern building up here. Where's Bruce to explain how wonderful the Student Corporation is at creating fantastic footballers?

Totally sick of reading childish and mindless bile like your contributions, wamberal.

I've realised that my time is much better spent helping kids achieve their potential than responding to drivel.

Over and out.

To be fair to Tilse, the uni second row was Dennis and Mumm. No prop would thrive in these circumstances.
