Blue

Agree Blue. Although up until his injury this year, I thought Andries Bekker was making a good case for perhaps starting in the 2nd row with Matfield at the world cup. He seems to have improved his physicality significantly and was getting stuck-in in the tight. His injury robbed the coaching staff of that option at the world cup (not that they would have used it anyway!) and he certainly would've been a handy impact player. If he can remain fit he will be a solid replacement for Victor.
I have no doubt with Bakkies injury Bekker would have started with Vic.
Although hang on. That's way too logical. Would prob not have happened.
Jeez we could do a lot worse than Bekker as a replacement for Vic. Problem is he breaks on average once a year. We need locks to put their hands up this year. The cupboard is a bit bare for mine:
4. Elstad, Flip vd Merwe (rubbish), Skeate (one half only), Wickus v Heerden
5. Bekker, Hargreaves (no thanks), Juandre Kruger, Franc vd Merwe, Wilhelm Steenkamp, Etzebeth (watch this boy - class), Bresler
Eek.
Who am I missing?
I am still of the opinion that Alberts can be converted into a high quality 4.
