Which to my smooth brain is counter intuitive. The breakdown and game is going to be slow already and the Scots aren't going to be isolated (especially if you play wet weather rugby), so Tiazzano's effectiveness will be diminished.

I fully acknowledge I sound like Qwerty, but this is a game built for size and collisions. I just fear a repeat of the Boks and Wallabies game in Brisbane where Tizzano was busy, but ineffective.

Isnt Tizzano exactly who you want in a slow and messy game? (If that assumption is even true). Someone who has proven to be a solid defender, very physical not afraid to get in the mud. Where as Mcreight is a great link player in the open running rugby we have been playing?

Regardless I agree with the others, Mcreight is probably being rested due to a niggle, cant understand why else and Schmidt seems to think Tizzano is next in line.

Also whilst we should always be putting out our best teams, we do need to create depth and give our squad some experience for the inevitable times we do get injuries.

That would be a more viable argument if McReight was some monster out to smash and bash the bad guys, but he isn't, his super power is his linking skills with cohesion arguments with Wilson

Tizzano is a good option here watch his games and how he tackles especially when linked with williams. he cuts low and provides clear access to Jackal. so when in a pod you always get someone over the ball.

he has also only had a short time so far at the higher level of training and coaching in the wallabies setup so i am keen to see how much further he has developed since debut.

I think it was more surprise that some other options like Swain or Smith were overlooked in his favour. But yes, Joe's judgment has been impeccable thus far.

I am not convinced that JAS should start at 12.
He gets lost in defense and his tackle technique could get him in hot water.

100 percent. his small time off the bench he made like 3 tackles and all could have been penalties.

What sticks out to me here is how inexperienced this squad is at test level. Only 2 players with 50 caps or more. A handful in the 30s. Another handful in the 20s. And a few in the teens and single digits. Bodes well for the future.

I don't really know anything about Potter however I remember there was a bit of excitement around him coming back to super rugby. Good luck yound man. Tizzano is a machine and won't let us down. We do lose quite a bit with McReight's running, support and ball playing game though.

Excitement levels growing. If we manage a win this weekend then the Ireland one will be epic!
