You can't question Tizzano's committment or willingness, but we saw he unfortunately just doesn't have the impact we need. Looking at the weather, I don't expect it to be a open running game and looks like it'll be a slow, sluggy pitch.

If we need Fraser to have a rest, this is a game perfect for a Liam Wright, Gleeson, Tom Hooper or Uru body shape.

I can understand the thinking v Scotland or trying to win the in tight stuff so we need a genuine 7. If fit Fraser is a must for me but next best option is Tizz. I think Rory Scott has a lot of potential long term as the back-up 7. Offers that bit more around the paddock similar to McReight but Tizzano hasn't let us down so far...

imho Mcreight is the best no7 in the world at the moment. Carlo is an average Super Rugby player. There is a significant gulf in quality.

Iv'e said for a couple of seasons that he's the best on ball 7 in the country and it's not close. Doesn't have the same mobility as others but if you want a guy who makes life hell in the ruck for an opposition he's your guy.

As a long term Brumbies and Wallabies supporter, I have to say that Luke Reimer is a more skillful No 7 than Rory Scott. Rory is the more versatile player and can play 8 as well as 7, but Reimer would be the next behind McReight and Tizzano in the pure 7 stakes. That was amply demonstrated by his immense performance for Aus A against England A last weekend.

Given the type of game everyone is expecting, an out and out 7 is not suited. Fraser while a jackler at heart has shown a number of different aspects to his game. His reading of the play that's unfolding infront of him and supporting that player is one of the best in the world.

Tizzano is a completely different player and what he's good at i.e. being a menace and slowing the ball down will not have as big of as impact.

As a result, we're better off going with a non-traditional 7 (i.e. Gleeson or Uru from the Squad) as the game will be slower, we need to be hitting Russell a lot and we will need 4 jumpers as I'm expecting a lot of lineouts.

Which to my smooth brain is counter intuitive. The breakdown and game is going to be slow already and the Scots aren't going to be isolated (especially if you play wet weather rugby), so Tiazzano's effectiveness will be diminished.

I fully acknowledge I sound like Qwerty, but this is a game built for size and collisions. I just fear a repeat of the Boks and Wallabies game in Brisbane where Tizzano was busy, but ineffective.
