forgot how much I love Dickheadson

Did he make the Stormers play crap in the second half? Everyone hates Stu; even the Kiwi commentators just were looking for reasons to complain about him - such as being too correct in giving a penalty at one stage.
If you mean Aplon's YC and the penalty try, well it was foul / cynical play and it prevented a probable try so fair enough.
He did miss a couple of high tackles from Stormers players, so you probably have a point.

@whatty: why do you love Dicky? Because of his misses of JdV's high tackles or the most skewed lineout throw not called ever (1st half, led to 2nd pen goal) or the JdV slap down "intercept with one hand slap"?:fishing

Fishing season is over. I dont talk about refs it makes me sound like a local.

Just don't like him simple.

Bad display by the Stormers in the second half especially the way they performed in the first 30.As I have said before, still to be convinced that this years Stormers have it in them.

Individual try of the season though thus far by Aplon.

Are we seeing a case of the staggers by the Stormers or a temporary blip? They've run well from the front so far, but their Saffer rivals must be encouraged a bit now.

I thought the ref had to be certain it is going to be a try.

In that case the Kankowski 'try' that Beale knocked down last year should have been awarded. Beale was carded, but no penalty try. :p :)

Just to relive that moment.

Well, I think a few might have agreed with you at the time. One, however was in-goal, and one was near half-way, and although the principle holds, I have never seen a penalty try awarded that far out. Perhaps there are too many variables. In any event, one example does not prove the point you are trying to make.

How the frig did the Stormers manage to lose that one? If they don't get it together next week the Blues will murder them.

We (Reds) need the Stormers to get up against the Blues! Blues will be level with us if they win with a bonus point. From our point of view today was a good result.

Bloody hell. At 20-3 down, I was ready to go and do the dishes as opposed to watch the chiefs. I had already SMS'd the old man telling him I was no longer a chiefs supporter - I don't mind losing, but playing dickhead rugby giving away penalties for stupid stupid things I can only take for 15 odd years before I've had enough.

And then the second half! Huge momentum shift and the chiefs really picked it up. Full credit to them.

Dickinson got pretty much so all his calls correct, I thought. Could've called a couple of high shots & the way he dealt with the penalty try incident was text book refereeing. Given what the TV match official told him, he had to make his decison - I didn't really agree with it myself, but you give you some, you take some.

Well played Cheetahs. That's a good win for them. They kept up the intensity for the full 80 minutes - thought they were on track for the bonus point try after the siren. Saders looked a bit flat, probably still feeling the effects from last weeks game.
