I know as a rule Aus fans don't like drop goals but if the Force had kicked that penalty earlier they could have set up for a drop goal to win the game.

Oh well, Force did well against a good Cheetahs side. Glad to see younger players getting some game time and doing pretty well.

Two great backrow performances today as well.

Yes the Force could have easily won that one. Aus teams have been making a habit of losing tight games lately. Pocock either needs to learn from his decision making mistakes today or give the responsibility to someone else.

Agreed on those points.

Pocock is a long way short of being a Wallaby captain at the moment.

Force just no idea how to put the ball through the hands. Flat passes to players tackled straight away. Cummins cuts back inside too much when he has a chance to run to the outside. Whole game plan is just (insert description here).

Real consideration needs to be given to who is reatained for next year. An announcment on a new coach would be good so fans can start looking to 2013. Remainder of this season not looking good for the Force.

Could the referring be any more bias? What a joke!

The Force didn't do themselves any favours but probably deserved a win.
Hard to imagine that the reffing display will not be scrutinized.
Shocker!!

disallowed try was a BS decision IMO, but Ma'afu was a prick for that chokehold. Is it possible to get the try awarded but then penalise the try-scoring game at the restart? Probably not, eh?

Yep...

I remember it happened to the Tahs against the Highlanders a few years ago...

Palu was yellow carded after a Tahs try had been awarded and the Highlanders got a penalty from the halfway mark...

To be fair to the ref, had he seen the choke hold himself, he'd blew his whistle long before that try was happening!

For an infringement after the try, not before it

Just watched the game again and my feelings about the refereeing display haven't changed. Its amazing how the touch judge can see Mafus arm around the blokes neck but miss hodgson getting DDT out if the match!

Who the hell was that ref. Never seen him before. He was shocking. We got shafted.

I can't believe the first half. he just got every call wrong. The penalty that didn't allow the try was shocking. He probably shouldn't have listened to the touchy. He just seamed to completely favour the Cheetahs. We defiantly deserved to win that one. I do however think Pocock should have taken the 3 and not opted for a scrum. Also i don't think Force fans should read into this effort much because in my opinion the Cheetahs without Johan Goosen (who to me is the stand out up coming tallent this year) are not all that flash. Still a good side but not any where near as good with Goosen on the paddock.

Just to be fair i think Harvey should of got a yellow card for getting in the way of the Cheetahs runner

A mere aside: we were being told early in this season that RG 'was an excellent coach struggling with constraints inherited at the Force.' The concerns that posters like Gnostic, Waylon and myself held about this bloke's actual historical rugby track record (as distinct from his excellent media engagement skills) were often dismissed as far too harsh and not well informed.

Sadly, the Force after 10 rounds has now lost, what, 80% of its 2012 games, worse I think than at this juncture in 2011. That % is appalling for any franchise in the game for 6 or more years.

Can we now revise an assessment of RG's actual contribution to the Force's winning capability?
