The award for the worst squad surely goes to Wales. Not in terms of personnel but in terms of make-up. 2 hookers, 5 locks, 5 backrowers and 3 centres. What the.

quite. perhaps suggests a lack of depth in some areas?

How's this, the reason Lancaster didn't select Harley was because he said he didn't want to risk having only 2 hookers available for the Fiji match (Harley's suspensions end on that match) and now Wales and Australia have only named 2 hookers. Nice trolling Cheika and Gatland.

Approx 11pm tonight for the Scots. I'd guess, based on the performances so far, assuming Seymour and Maitland are fit but Dunbar isn't.

Hookers: Brown, Ford, McInally
Props: Dickinson, Grant, Nel, Reid, Welsh
Locks: Gilchrist, J.Gray, R. Gray, Harley
Backrowers: Barclay, Cowan, Denton, Hardie, Strauss
Scrum halfs: Hidalgo-Clyne, Laidlaw, Pyrgos
Fly halfs: Jackson, Russell
Centres: Bennett, Horne, Scott, Vernon
Wings: Lamont, Maitland, Seymour, Visser
Fullback: Hogg

8 Edinburgh
14 Glasgow
1 Scarlets
6 England (2 London Irish, 1 Harlequins, 1 Gloucester, 1 Newcastle, 1 Wasps)
1 France (Castres)
1 Unattached

The one's I've probably got wrong are the Backrow (where Barclay and Hardie could be swapped for any of Wilson, Ashe, Watson or Blake), and Jackson v Weir v Tonks.

Don't worry, we'll give it a shot. :p

Oh that match is 50/50. No Bok supporter has that match down as a given, despite past results.

Not enough -vili and -ze surname suffixed players. There are 6 wasted spots in the Georgian squad.

Well, 27/31 isn't bad. Thought Jackson would go ahead of Weir for the fullback option. Swinson wasn't in the training squad and hence I only thought Harley was competing with big Jim. As for the flankers, got Hardie, wasn't surprised by Wilson, it was 50/50 between him and Barclay, but Strokosch ahead of Cowan and Barclay? Big call.

Either way, fairly happy with that squad.

Interesting to see former randwick players Al McFarland & Chris baumann.

I played a few seasons with McFarland & while he was a good Shute shield player, that's obviously a massive step up to the RWC. I reckon USA will struggle. Maybe not even win a game.

Their only realistic chance at a win will come against Japan. Japan's only RWC win was in 1991.

They beat Japan 23-18 in the recent PNC (Pacific Nations Cup) so that game is certainly likely to close.

That said, they're in easily the weakest pool with South Africa, Samoa, Scotland, USA and Japan.

LHS = all teams, RHS = Just French Teams, It's a french publication

But this is a breakdown of where players at the RWC are playing in the 2015/16 season (I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate because of the transfers from Super Rugby to NH Rugby+ Japan).

Thought it was quite interesting. Glasgow are so high because there's 16 Warriors in the Scotland Squad, plus Greg Peterson in the Eagles, Simone Favaro for the Azzuri, Leone Nakarawa for the Fijjians and Sila Puafisi for Tonga.

Interesting but missing a few I'd say. Just looking quickly Western Force is missing and we know Ben McCalman is there.
