I think some of these penalties from Barnes against Wales have been incredibly pedantic. Wales have played all the rugby in this game and are behind. It's ridiculous.

Their discipline has been atrocious. They have played all the rugby but they've also given away stupid penalties every chance they get.

The first penalty Wales kicked was beyond pedantic. It was plain wrong - the Welsh player was clearly not supporting his own bodyweight, his upper body clearly resting on our player.

You can view it both ways.

2 or 3 of the penalties were for the tackler not rolling away. But they've been blown incredibly quickly and without the ball being noticeably slowed down. It's inevitable that tacklers will sometimes end up on the other side of the ball, and the Welsh guys have made efforts to get away, but when the attacking players form the ruck on top of you and give you no where to go what are you supposed to do? It's literally slowing down the ball about .5 of a second. Is that worth so many points? To me it's not, and I don't want to see the game decided by technical penalties. Barnes is having way too much influence on the game.

They wouldn't be penalised on those if the next Welsh player wasn't competing for the ball. It's the combination of not rolling away and then having another guy trying to win the ball.

It leaves the referee no real choice but to penalise.

Lol they are only missing Webb and Jiffy Jr from their 1st choice backline. The problem is they are all 100kg units outside the halves.

Other than Davies and Biggar, the backs wouldn't know how to take advantage of a 10 on 1 overlap.

In the Australia game, saw someone mention the Wallabies were down to 13, but it was Wales playing league -- why go for space when there's contact to be made? #BishBashBosh

I think South Africa had easily secured possession each time. Will have to watch again, but I don't think any of them had much effect on the play.
