I’m done with this team and this sport in general. I said 20 years ago the game was stuffed in this country, clearly outlining why and now I’ve been proven to be 100% correct.

It’s time to cross codes and follow Rugby League.

yeah it’s not pretty here in Australia, but Club rugby does its best with limited resources….

And You can still watch the game /comps in other countries… if you zoom out it’s thriving …

The game is putrid in Europe/UK and what’s worse is they get a kick out of it being dull, low scoring and boring (I guess this makes sense as they love 0-0 draws in fairy ball)

Club Rugby is also a problem. We all need to admit that Rugby League is thriving down here and is killing our sport.

Typically I try to have the decency to learn, or at least Google, someone's name before I slag them off, especially if they've been a regular contributor to rugby broadcasting for several years - that's before considering any sexist undertones associated with a variation of 'that woman', but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...

League isn’t “thriving” they have their own financial problems and issues with limited growth … well documented

Any way we Need stop worrying about league it’s totally different game and focusing on our own game .

And European rugby is still the most lucrative option for a player of any rugby code ..

I think this is a “head in the sand” simplistic view.

Didn't they post an operating surplus that was roughly half what our total revenue was for the same time period?

We aren't even competing with rugby league if we are talking money. We are competing with soccer.

it’s easier to turn around the national sides woes when the grassroots are strong.

They have 3 million people, bad club teams and incompetent governance

Also Wales made some very harsh and unpopular decisions to make sure they stayed viable. But never write off what a union does by saying it's the national sports and grassroots are strong, they don't hold being their national sport by just sitting on thumbs!

Waking up in Lyon and not feeling any better, have tickets to the Portugal game as well and now that is a non event, had a week planned of taking the kids to see the boys train etc but will definitely be doing something different now. Gutted as I am sure the players are as well. Hope Eddie has already flown off to Japan or somewhere else

In what world is rugby putrid in Europe/UK? Geez there is some bloody superb rugby played up that way, I watch and enjoy a hell of a lot of it.
