I see the NZ coach is saying that booing McCaw by the crowd is a bit passe and that you don't boo nobodys. Wow Quade must really be something then. Those NZ crowds sure know quality when they see it.

I guess that's the thing isn't it.....booing not exactly appropriate but hard for New Zealanders to complian given how they treat Quade as at least Richie booed for foul play....kiwi's just boo Quade when touches the ball, enters the field or just see him.....

Quade back in 2011 had also bit more of a reputation as star player also back in 2011....sadly not the case now...

Of the games I've seen so far Garces is the only one who had a good match.

Clancy was appalling and the others satisfactory at best. I hope this aspect of RWC improves - the players are doing their jobs, but sadly the officials are miles behind in terms of performance.
I thought Nig was very good in the Kingsholm arm wrestle between Tonga and Georgia. Garces is a very fine ref, however. Barnes was actually better than usual because, for once, he actually made the tacklers roll. He was still crap, obviously, but nothing like as bad as usual.

I am trying to work out who the citing commissioner is for the game but can't find it anywhere. I think Carter should be cited to send out a message that boots have no reason to be heading anywhere near a fellas face when he is scoring a try. It was reckless by Carter, even if it was unintentional, and I would like to see one of these new warning sanctions issued, a retrospective yellow card, which is what the offence deserved IMHO.

Also interesting that someone said (can't remember where I read it) that Smith's yellow card was harsh. But how harsh was that yellow on the Argie? Yellow for making a tackle when not being 10. Probably the first time I've ever seen that.

Really? That was as professional a foul as you'll ever see, didn't even try to get back. Yellow all day, every day.

Phipps got one in Bled 1 this year.

Think you're right. Barnes was actually better than usual. First 20 mins he Seemed to be completely flumoxed by the amount of guidance he was getting, which probably tells us how much he usually misses! Even had to tell them to stop at one point. Was funny to see him running around like a headless chook.

Equally ridiculous. And I was comparing it with the Smith one, which was pointed out as harsh, but nothing said about this. What Smith did was equally "foul", if not worse.

SBW and Beaudy Barrett came on and saved that game for the AB's. Very one dimensional until they provided some spark.

From the link posted above of the incident and the way some people have reacted (or overreacted) I don't know what game you were watching. His shin has come into contact with his head and it didn't look like a deliberate act. I think some of you are acting like pork chops.
It doesn't matter if it is deliberate or not. His foot moved towards the players head which is reckless. Think the window has elapsed now anyway so he isn't going to be cited.
