If Scotland manages to beat South Africa it isn't a nothing match!

The winner of this would then have a chance to progress by winning their last match against either USA (Japan) or Scotland (Samoa).

I don't want any bonus points in this match.

Other than that, the result doesn't overly concern me. If there are no bonus points, we can't miss out on 3rd mathematically.

So, anyone give the Blossoms a chance in this one? Stylistically I dont think its a great match up for Japan.

Samoa aren't as good s they have been at past RWCs. Not much organisation or structure and make a lot of errors. A high tempo, disciplined performance could see Japan get up here. Joubert a good fit for Japan with the whistle.

Both teams will have a chance to progress if South Africa wins too, though Japan would have to rely on Scotland losing to Samoa.

We've seen more blatant truck and trailer mauls let go than that one in this RWC.

Yeah I thought that was actually perfectly set up. Japan could easily have 2 tries already if it weren't for a couple of sketchy calls.

Now they have to take advantage of this 2 man advantage. Keeping it too tight.

Samoa are playing like they dont have a coach

although japan really should have put on more points by now.

Japan too conservative with a 2 man advantage. Should have run it from the kick off and then off the turnover. What a waste of a huge advantage. Good play from Samoa to keep possession for so long though.
