I usually always try to be neutral when posting, but with France injuring Sexton and ending O'Connells international career I'm holding a grudge. Honestly hope Ireland come out firing this second half. Hopefully Henderson as the next POC will replace him in style. Hoping Sexton will be good for the Semi's or QF'S.

If only Earl's didn't have butterfingers. If that was Payne would it of been a try? A try would have changed the course of the game and POC wouldn't of been injured. Ah.

To be fair, even though they were hunting Sexton, I don't think his injury came from contact. Not sure on O'Connell's.

But hey -- Ireland have for so long been a team that probably operated too much out of heart and faith in talismanic leaders. Schmidt has been trying to get them to a point where they can lose or replace someone without losing a step. Now's the chance to show it. If they can't step up now, they're just not ready for a semifinal. If they can, they'll have proven a hell of a lot to themselves (and others).

Heaslip's been immense at the rucks -- pulled a SOB at one, moved about three people off it. And Henshaw finally providing some effective strike running that Ireland's been missing.

Still -- they'd want at least another try or two more penalties, and soon.
