IIRC there are about 22 infringements that can be penalised at each lineout. If the refs actually applied the letter of the Laws of Rugby, it is extremely unlikely that we would ever see a "compliant" lineout restart.

Has anyone had the heart to tell the kiwis, now that they have drunk from bill, that the whole of eastern Australia has urinated in that cup twice since they last saw it......

The same could be said for the Tri-Nations trophy...

Lol IS, why do you think it took us so long to win it back after 87, what the hell do you think kiwis were doing into it, we merely waited until that had been around for trhat stuff do break down!!!

I once played under a ref who tried to penalise for all 22. Things like lifting before the the ball is thrown, stepping over the 15 metre line. I think between both teams we had 1 complete line-out all game.

You can see from that clip joubert did not want to make the decision to award a penalty which would have won the game, kaino playing ball of the ground, then knocked it on, then hore ran from offside to dive on the ball. After 16 french phases, 5 min to go on the clock kicking distance the ref did not want to be the Bryce Lawrence and have 80, 000 hate followers on facebook and be the guy who lost the cup for NZ

Fuck that's some weak as bullshit accusation.

Not only is a weak accusation, grasping at straws to try to blame someone - anyone who was nearby - but he refused to even contemplate the thought that there could have been anything wrong with McCaw kneeing Parra in the head, late, and from the side of the ruck.

Sour grapes because the wobblies fell over?
Joubert was lenient with both sides at the breakdown and at least the AB's didn't have to resort to eye gouging like the French!

It's equally weak to try and portray that McCaw/Parra incident as anything but accidental.

Kaino appears to be playing the ball on his feet, then goes off his feet and releases it (knocking on in the process). It could have been a penalty, but Kaino seems to release when told to, which despite the comments from Williams is pretty standard. Hore comes from onside.

The knee bone is connected to the foot bone?

He had to release that ball a lot earlier than he did.

Was clearly a penalty.

Agreed. Total accident.
Except if Richie hadn't of been coming in from the side he wouldn't have kneed Parra. :fishing Thought it was ironic that McCaw accidententaly kneed someone in the RWC final given the Cooper incident in the final 3Ns game this year.

As soon as it was shown on the replay, I wondered how long it would be before people would start comparing the two.
