What should we make of Will Carling's comments?

Carling, the only player to have led England in more tests than current skipper Chris Robshaw, said Lancaster's team struggled to take decisions against Wales because they worked in a "classroom-orientated environment" where the players were treated as "schoolboys".

England have a few fundamental problems, one of which is that the RFU has ceded way too much power to the arseholes who own the 14 English clubs that now run the game in England. Carling was always one of the biggest cheerleaders for these pricks, ready to condemn the 'old farts' who ran the English game for the good of the game in favour of the assorted Nigels' whose only concerns are their glorified penis extensions. Why is Steffon Armitage not in the England squad? Not because of Lancaster but because Mark McCafferty and the Nigels demanded it. Hopefully Wales will beat Fiji and Australia will win on Saturday and Richie will get a chance to survey the Future on the 10th October when England play Uruguay in a deserted Twickers.

^^^I agree that those that currently seem to control English rugby are far more obnoxious that the old farts of the amateur era. At least as you say the old private school dodderers had the game at heart. I remember way back to 1984 when the English hooker was sent off in a touring match against the Wallabies and back in those days the RFU had a rule that players sent off couldn't represent England for the rest of the season. They stuck to their guns and he didn't play. Can't recall the guy's name.
