Aussie D

Desmond Connor (43)
HT England up 16-6.
A few observations - ref not pulling England up for not scrumming straight. There was an early penalty against Wales for going early which may be affecting the timing of their engage as they avoid same penalty. Though on that scrum it seemed to be an overly long call to set the scrum.
England lineout looked rusty early and Wales have had problems with throwing - lucky to get away with one or twoand getting pinged for not straight.
Sam Burgess looks good ball in hand straightening the line but looks to be a liability in defence.
Wales have looked dangerous at times but lack the polish to finish off their opportunities.
England looking composed and will be hard to beat.

Poms up 19-9, if Wales don't score next this could get ugly for them...........

Spidercam shot of England's last first- half scrum showed pretty clearly IMO that their LHP is coming in at ~45deg, Welsh probably not making too big a deal of it cos they're trying to do it too, just not as successfully.
