It's a win, but not much more. We should've beaten that team by 30+. Really disappointing second half. Have to get England and Wales now.

Absolutely terrible tactics in the second half. Cheiks might need to rethink some of his subs, it should have been To'omua for foley around sixty minutes. Why does he hate throwing an inside ball? Going to have to be much better against England and Wales.

Best part of our play was our defence. Outstanding throughout.
Disappointing not to get the bonus point. Too many errors in the second half. We can't have our lineout fall apart like that again.
Our bench didn't provide the impact we've come to expect this year. Skelton was probably our only reserve to make a good impact.

Woke up, watched from about 50 minutes on.
He threw one while I was watching. TPN dropped it cold. But yeah, could have been more.
What cost us a bonus point was two shit throws by Moore and a clumsy fuckup by Mumm in between.
Why To'omua was held back until 77 minutes is a fucking mystery, as was bringing Beale on before him. Not sure if this is Cheik keeping his powder dry.
But fuck it, we got the win with a decent margin, and the goal still remains the same: beat everyone.
Injury concern for Slipper with that concussion. Smith was probably due to play Uruguay anyway.

Mate, that's all well and good in hindsight to say we needed to go for the fourth try, but the fact is we defended for the majority of the last 20 minutes, and the game was on a knife edge.
Considering how Fiji came back hard in the second half, and the fact it was our first game in weeks, the thought of the bonus point was never entertained.
I fancy Fiji to knock off Wales in a week's time anyway, so points difference will unlikely factor in to the pool rankings.
Also thought the officiating was not as one-sided as the England-Fiji game, and the yellow card flattered us a little bit.
Wallabies MOTM: Pocock - just lifts everyone around him. Probably our most valuable forward.

Not getting the BP was a bit of a blow, considering crowd support will be against us in every match and Wales get to play Fiji at home. But the saffers were called arrogant for going for the try bonus when points were on offer. So I'll take a win with no injuries (fingers crossed for Slipper). A disappointing win is probably a good result for us -- it'll fire up our guys for the England match.
The lineout is a worry.

Cheika's subs robotic:: Douglas gone at about 60 left him on for 5-10 too long. Skelton was ready to go but when slipper got head binned they seemed to change the program.
Loss of momentum came with Simmons departure. Line out appalling from then.
Gitts did some good things and he snuffed out a 3 on 1 with beautiful sliding.
We're only using izzy on a long ball and with no subterfuge - other than the out the back which was great in 1998 when McQueens brought it in but most test teams have seen it by now.
On another note I bumped into the director of rugby at bath uni where the wobbs are staying to be told they had been unable to assemble the scrum machine. 2 steps forward one step back: the motto of the ARU.

If it were just one game I'd chalk it up to a bad day at the office. But our lineout has been wobbly for a while now. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the worst lineout in the top 10. But I'd rather have a decent scrum than a world-class lineout, which it seems we do.

I can lay two shit throws at his feet. One was flat and begging to be picked off anywhere from 2-5. The second one was wobbly and just crap.
He - and the lineout - are not to blame for Mumm dropping it cold though.
