Speaking of Stephen Moore, he failed miserably as a captain last night when he suggested to QE2 that she should change her allegiance to the Wallabies. She laughed, but declined to take up his offer!!

She's a fairly busy sheila, but one of Lizzy Mountbatton's many titles is Queen of Australia, so there is no need for her to change any sort of allegiances.

In a rather bizarre twist of sycophancy, her old man is also one of the Knights Commanding the Order of Australia or something quaintly medievally heraldic like that.

Our expat Head of State and The First Bloke <cringe> are right across the issue, and she'll do us proud when she hands over Bill to Squeaky in a couple of weeks. She's had plenty of previous practice.

^^^ Sounds like a job for the Citing Guy to deal with. It falls under the definition of foul play, so is well within his remit to deal with, although when it is done in and around rucks/mauls/tackle zone it can be hard to spot.

Regulation 17 gives guidance to the Citing Guys:
http://www.irb.com/mm/document/lawsregs/0/regulation17a4_874.pdf

Law No 10.4(f) Holding, pushing or obstructing an Opponent not holding the ball except in a scrum, ruck or maul
Lower End 2 weeks, Mid Range 4 weeks, Top End 6+ weeks, Maximum Sanction 52 weeks

Yes, but we've seen that it didn't work on Saturday (in either game) at the time and the internet went into meltdown. Don't want to compare Pocock and SOB since they are different. I don't think Pocock should've received anything and SOB was mad to throw a punch for what seems innocuous. But the illegal holding of Pocock could've led to a Welsh try (if we hadn't blown it).

The Windsor sheila married a Mountbatton bloke so that must make her a Mountbatton now, but anyways if Greenpeace manage to stop the Wallabies slaughtering Wales in a RWC Grand Final, I'd nominate for Max Boyce for the new expat King of Australia.

I don't think she took her husband's made up surname.

Knew it was a ridiculous name: Philip Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, tho he took his gran's name of Battenburg

Absolutely. An illegal gagr gambling caper is long overdue.

Seems like you owe me $1000! (for those who missed it we had a little bet about whether Pocock would be cited after the kneeing action. Benaud offered 20-1 against him being cited which I found a little too attractive to ignore.

In the spirit of the game we all love, and given that gambling on G&G is probably against the rules, how about I let you off with donating the stake of $50 to G&G?

1. New Zealand - 92.89

2. Australia - 90.93

Cracked 90 for the first time ever maybe?

That's the closest gap from #1 to #2 in quite some years.

Has anyone done the math as to whether we go to number 1 if the All Blacks lose to France this weekend? France are down in 7th or something at the moment.

If everyone wins by less than 15, and assuming Australia, Ireland and South Africa win the other 3 matches:

Even if you beat Scotland by 300, it won't affect your ranking points.
