We'll go McCalman with McMahon on the bench, 93% sure of that. Also Mitchell and Beale into the starting teams with Speight on the bench.

I'd be happy with that too... I have this feeling that Speight is going to make a major play at this world cup for the Wallabies... JUST feel it in me bones,,,

I've done a 180 and gone back to McCalman as the likely replacement too. Experience, experience, experience. Sean will get the bench spot no doubt.

I'd be surprised if Cheika didn't go a full strength side next week regardless.

This team needs more minutes together and I don't think you want any players not playing a week before a knock out game.

You can't fear injuries at this point.

I believe Cheika should play his top players against Wales to be sure of finishing top thereby playing Scotland in the QFs,..then they can play the B team against Scotland and win..

I'd try and keep it very similar to the team that started at Twickers.
Folau out Beale in- not really like for like as there is no Fullback like Folau at this RWC.
Horne out Speight in - I'd imagine Nathan Grey will still want to move Foley in defence & Speight has been playing centre & is a better defender/Tackler than Drew Mitchell.
Hooper out McMahon in - almost an exact replica in the way they play the game.

I wouldn't under estimate the Scots... remember the 2012 game

I think we are all massively underestimating the Welsh here.

They are quietly going about their business as the underdog, while everyone crows about the Wallabies. I fucking hate that, and it's got ambush written all over it.

For all their injuries it's still a very classy side who are 3rd in the world. Warburton, Faletau, North, Roberts, Wyn Jones, Tipuric, Lydiate are all guns who pulverised us in Lions shirts just a few years ago.

I'm worried about this game, because no-one seems to be worried. It is a must win and without Folau and Hooper it's going to be fucking tough.

Add their fullback Williams as a danger man and Biggar who can kick goals from anywhere. I think they will be tougher then England.

Agreed. But it's the fans being dismissive, if that's the right word. I prefer "on an understandable high". If Cheika is still in the same place Id be very concerned.

But I doubt that's the case.

Can't like this enough. Too much over confidence everywhere.

I hope Cheika has the boys on a media ban. They all simmered down really quickly after the win Vs England and certainly didn't over celebrate. So I think the team should be in the right head space, can't say the same thing about the fans.

As dru said, it's only coming from a few fans. The fact that again, just like the England game, Cheika is keeping a low profile and throwing the appropriate amount of praise at the Welsh tells me that the Wallabies aren't taking them lightly at all. They're knuckling down again.

Left wing isn't Speight's preferred side......... [/pedantic selection]

I would start with Mitchell to reward him for his form so far, and more importantly for his experience as Beale at fullback could go either way..........

Speight on the bench over Tomane because he can also cover centre.
