Any aditional pracgtise Quade does with his goal kicking should aim to get the ball traveling straight at the goal posts. There will be no point to practise if it is just practising wrong technique.
Have I missed some secret meaning in this post???

Next you'll be suggesting that Tiger Woods should practice hitting the ball towards the flag.

Well, as analogous as a golf-swing and goal-kicking might be, not necessarily. Where a ball ends up on a green is a different process to kicking a goal.
But I see what you mean! ;)

If they continue to practice a technique that results in a hook or a fade, then they will continue to kick in that fashion in matches. Quade and others probably need to overhaul their current approaches to the ball to learn how to send it to the posts in a straight trajectory. No secret. Perfect practice makes perfect technique.

Just like scrummaging, you need to be coached by someone who can give you the correct technique. The fact that most of our kickers are considerably less accurate and reliable that just about everyone else indicates that there's a fairly basic problem across the game in Australia.

Do you think that Foley is a Test level flyhalf though? Great running and support, goal kicking back on song, but the rest of his game isn't up to scratch at the moment. Lack of vision and ability to control / organise a backline at Test level really worry me.

Foley will get the nod without a doubt, but there's no confidence in either of them at 10 right now.

And then the England game happened, 28 points.. haha ;)

Decisions over.

Just picked this up on my first re-watch of the test but go to 47 minutes on the game clock and you may see the Wallabies do something that looks awful familiar..
