The refs are a big issue but on the high tackle front WR (World Rugby) is more to blame imo. Especially the way they’ll string out the refs for not making calls to their liking.

haha Ardie's revolutionary goggle hoohaa quietly yet predictably shelved

Not that anyone involved besides Aaron After-David seems to give a shit but that brings to a close one of the lamest and most embarrassing halves of rugby football in All Black World Cup history

Backs are surplus to requirements. Just scrummage them into the dirt until there's a card and penalty try.

Not that it's NZ's fault for playing smart rugby and every team would do it if they could, but I hate this constantly scrummaging for a penalty, it's boring percentage play rugby and very uninspiring. Teams shouldn't lose people to the bin just for having a shit scrum, that's not illegal.

Well said. I fear scrums are one of the sticking points of rugby right now, especially the amount of time taken for re-sets and penalties given.

Probably the safest channel flick in professional sports.

It's like we're scoring, but choosing the worst possible options to get there. Should delete all recordings of this game and forget it happened.

FFS. IT'S TAKEN 7 FUCKING REPLAYS TO FINALLY LOOK AT THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDED LOOKING AT.

Honestly, fuck these refereeing standards. They are just a joke.

10-9 then 61 unanswered points.

TJP's try was fun as hell.

Goodhue still rusty after his layoff, yet to bring his red and black sharpness to black

Meh........... that's the risk you take going in with a swinging arm to a player in a vulnerable position.

Both deserved yellow.

"Swinging arm". How do you get your arm around a player to tackle without swinging it?

The player was literally diving to the ground.

So there was no need for the second man to come in with the hit?

Did a second man come in for a hit? I missed it. I don't have a problem with YCs for those if that's how the game is to be reffed, just I think a different title than high shot as atackle that is made 1m above the ground can't really be called high;). But as Shag said after the game , that's the guidelines the refs are working to, so no problems.
Certainly a meesy game by the ABs, and love the attitude nambia took, they gave it everything, and the grin on coach Davies' face when they lead by 3 points was priceless I thought.
