AB's 3rd string halfback Brad Weber, seen here limbering
up for his big moment in the sun.

ScoBar played the full 80 v Canada & PT 71 so there's speculation that SamW will start & likely captain, also that Lurch might make an appearance at some point. Presumably Frizell will also be used as a lock at some point, whether starting or finishing. All will be revealed at 3:30 NZDT.

Hansen must have some sort of personal vendetta against Namibia.

1. Joe Moody (42 tests)
2. Codie Taylor (47)
3. Nepo Laulala (22)
4. Brodie Retallick (77)
5. Samuel Whitelock (114) (C)
6. Shannon Frizell (7)
7. Sam Cane (64)
8. Ardie Savea (41)
9. Aaron Smith (88)
10. Jordie McNuggets (13)
11. George Bridge (6)
12. Anton Lienert-Brown (39)
13. Jack Goodhue (10)
14. Sevu Reece (4)
15. Ben Smith (82)

16. Dane Coles (65)
17. Ofa Tuungafasi (32)
18. Angus Ta'avao (10)
19. Patrick Tuipulotu (27)
20. Matt Todd (22)
21. Brad Weber (3)
22. T J Perenara (61)
23. Rieko Ioane (27)

Of those starters, I'd say only Feizell, McNuggets, and B.Smith aren't in with a real shot of making the first XV.

Also, Retallicka.

The clock emerged with the victory last time round, but is really going to be pressed hard this time.

12. Anton Lienert-Brown (39)
13. Jack Goodhue (10)

Big wish is that this combo clicks in loving dovetailed machination and we red-carpet ride it all the way to the glory of Valhalla and never, ever, ever have to think about Crotties or money bills ever again

Oh, and of course anyone who lays a hand on Brodie Retallick is promptly deported at halftime to Swaziland.

lol NZ can't be arsed earning the right to go wide so just push it thru the hands like its a pre-match drill.

Hardly feverish defense either.

This is beautiful. Namibia trailing by 1 point at 30 minutes. Surely Namibia has to slow up, if they win NZ will have nothing left as a country, just gorgeous landscapes and very odd people not knowing what to talk about. They'll be New South Scotland.

YC Laulala, 10-9. 31 minutes in. Another shitty yellow but not much the ref could.

Not much the ref could do? How about just give a penalty given the players head was at knee height?

I mean frankly, he's given them the complete rub of the green so far.

I agree with all that but the directive seems to be any direct contact with the head is at least a YC. Yes, half the reason there are less blowouts is because the refs allow the tier 2 nations to do whatever at the breakdown.

Fine. If this is how WR (World Rugby) want to play it then fight fire with fire. Monopolise possession, grind it out with nothing but pick-and-go's and one-out passes. Carrier goes in head down/first as if he's going for the line. Makes it inevitable that every tackle will be above the shoulder line and likely direct contact to the head. For added effect get TJ all three halfbacks on to demand cards for every tackle.
