Bit harsh to say the whole team deserved the loss due to one players actions but the player who got sent off can be rest assured he rooted his team.

The french got screwed with the welsh forward pass. And i dont understand why they'd be trying to collapse a scrum when wales got the penalty.

Needless to say i cant see wales beating saffas or even japans speed game based on that performance.

My impression was that the TMO said to Jaco, " I have a decision". Jaco then immediately said "So its a try". I really had the impression that the TMO was going to say the ball went forward but wasn't prepared to over-rule Jaco.

In any case, I do believe the French could have won the game had they continued to keep the ball in the Welsh half, as they did for a long period towards the end. Then, at about 72 minutes I think, a stupid play at a ruck near half way gifted the Welsh a penalty and brought the game inside the French 22m area. That's when the decisive try was scored. All teams do it, but I get frustrated by players who don't use their noggins and consequently give away stupid penalties. We have a couple of them in the Wallabies RWC squad.

Look from the overhead angle it was so marginal I would have been disappointed if it was called on that. However! I believe there was a second view that showed it going forward, and if that was available and not used by Jaco/TMO, that's a real bed shitter of a moment.
