Ireland could be said to have a poor record in RWC KO matches:
1987: Lost quarterfinal to Australia 33-15 in Sydney
1991: Lost quarterfinal to Australia 19-18 in Dublin
1995: Lost quarterfinal to France 36-12 in Durban
1999: Lost quarterfinal playoff to Argentina 28-24 in Lens
2003: Lost quarterfinal 43-21 to France in Melbourne
2007: Finished third in pool and did not advance
2011: Lost quarterfinal 22-10 to Wales in Wellington
2015: Lost quarterfinal 43-20 to Argentina in Cardiff

It's a tricky one. In my "hierarchy of hate", England is undoubtedly at the top and I will cheer any and every team that plays them. The Kiwis are a close second, but I have a strong anti northern hemisphere bias which is now making me question my preferences.
Do I seek southern supremacy and another Irish failure on the biggest stage? Yet another reminded that while power may swagger down the corridors of WR (World Rugby) headquarters in Dublin, it doesn't mean shit out on the field.
Or do I get behind the underdog and drown myself in schadenfreude at the spectacle of NZ exiting in the earliest of stages?
Also, I want to see some justice for the fuck up of the CWC final this year. The Kiwis were robbed.
Obviously, should we get through Ireland might be the easier side to face but on balance I think I’d prefer if France knocks out Wales, NZ knocks out Ireland, and Aus knocks out England.
