Ha. That one actually made me laugh. Thanks.

Shit gameplan that hasn't changed since 2014. Players were fit, skilled, well selected and playing for each other. Game plan and therefore the coaching not quite good enough. Opposition just need to defend well and they get the result. Let's thank Cheika for stepping in when we were in crisis and move on to a new era.

Hooper has been playing well and has kicked a gear. Ditto Pocock.

I think that this game has shown once and for all that the Pooper is not a winner in test matches. Hooper won a couple of turnovers on the back of excellent tackling by others, but otherwise he might have just as well have been here at home watching the game. He is not a No 7, nor a No 6 nor a No 8. Playing him at 7 has forced the Wallabies to play one of the world's best No 7s out of position. For all the Hooper fans, I ask, is he really as good as Pocock as a traditional No 7? And if not, what sort of game does he actually play? He is more like an extra back than a forward and his presence at No 7 over the past 4 years has completely unbalanced every forward pack that he has been part of.

Id say Latu cemented himself as Australia's best hooker this tournament so a massive loss. I well and truly ate my words regarding his involvement.

Some of his old habits crept in (like that forced pass in the second half), but I agree. He was a real improver. He will be a loss if he goes to France as rumoured.

Thinking about it.. exact same result as last 6 times we played England. Same strategy, and same result.

Wallabies nice effort, but poor strategy, and your never going to win against England playing catch-up rugby.

That is the best summary of it! It was a replay of the last 6 matches, the players are different but the coach is the constant.

To be frank, I'm not sure the Pooper is what lost it for us. A lot of other areas you could look at first before those two players being on the field.

Disagree. The Pooper worked well tonight. Scrum fine, Line-out fine. Hooper was effective with ball in hand and made some turn-overs, Pocock did well too securing ruck and tackling hard. I don't see how Dempsey or LLS would have done any better.

They were a positive in this game. Underhill & Curry weren't any better either.

We didn't lose at all cos of the imbalance in the backrow. We lost cos of poor strategy, poor play-making, poor service.

Phil Kearns has a lot of balls I reckon. He's been as bad as anyone with all the 'running rugby' or 'keep the ball in hand' shit throughout his media career yet suddenly he bemoans the lack of tactical nous and kicking skills when it contributes to a wc qf loss. Screw him.

Two sides mate - posts might not read well but recognise the forum posted on as we are not submitting ministerial submissions so to attack someone for Grammar, wording on here with mobile postings and all its joys let alone those with language issues means we could spend all day on that - yes my post was out of line but Adam’s post was out of line imo - move on here

Fair call mate, how you react to poor behavior though says a lot too.... what's that saying again: Don't try to beat a pigeon in an argument they will bring you down to their level and beat you at their own game.

Respond better to idiots or they will beat you at their own game.

BR, proof of the pudding is in the eating. Don’t like it, but logic dictates that I agree with you.

I have been purposefully absent because I had given up on the Wallabies under Chieka. This result was a foregone conclusion really and the odds given really reflect that.

The only thing more predictable than the Wallabies run everything and display poor skills is the continual whinging about the referee. Garces was very good. He has improved greatly over the last couple of years, and if I was to nit pick tonight the only thing you could call him on was two collapsed scrums where Sinkler clearly took it down. That is it.

The key thing about Chieka's time in coaching at all levels is he has a massive impact in the first year. He did at the Tahs and the Wallabies after that he has nothing. He is rightly the worst performed coach in the Pro history of the game in this country. He lost me at the end of 2017 and should have been shown the door then. It is not hindsight that says this, plenty of us said it then and gave the reasons we now see proved (again).

The final footnote of Chieka's time is his chopping and changing of the selection so there was not a settled side for the last 2 years and when we talk about form, and worse he selected clearly out of form players when in form players had actually some incumbency and were beginning to develop some combination, which has been proved to have an impact. Whats more when opposition teams have changed their selections it has been for a specific reason and plan as England did tonight. At no stage can Australia have been said to have played to a adaptable plan, they have been the same every game they have trotted out and they still cannot execute with any real accuracy despite even the opposition knowing exactly what they are going to do.

For me outside of the lack of any real variety in the game of the Wallabies selections of the following made this outcome completely predictable:-
1) Genia - has for years been unable to pass from the ground or without taking two to six steps. This is not s test standard 9. White was a far better pick to start and he showed it on form.
2) Lilo/To'omua/Foley - Pick a 10 and play him into form. Really after the tests of the last 2 years To'omua was the pick and he had combination with White.
3) JOC (James O'Connor)/Petaia/Kurindrani - again pick one and play them into form. JOC (James O'Connor) was the one.
4) LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) - is barely a Super level player. There are far better options and again no settled combination was picked.
5)Pooper - it hasn't worked since 2015. Chieka put his head in the sand (or up his arse) in arrogance.
6)Beale - The sooner he is gone the better. He should never have been selected again after the Link/Patston. He is completely over-rated as a player to boot. A crab with cut passes, chip kicks and just so un reliable.

I do feel sorry for the core of the team, and even those players who were selected but should not have been placed in that position, because the coaches led by Chieka failed utterly to execute their side of the deal. The lack of analysis of opposition at this level is just unforgivable and is amateurish. The players as Chieka said, gave their all, the coaches cannot say the same.
